"Max was on time for my estimate. Gave me an honest price and described the work he could do. We set a date for the job when I was ready. He was early, which for me means on time! He and his assistant got started right away. He asked about my neighbors property. I asked my neighbors for permission for Max to enter their yard to remove any debris. She agreed. They left their yard clean and cleaned up my yard as well. He head to remove part of my fence for his machine to fit but asked me first and put the fence back when finished. I'm very pleased with their work . I would use then again. I had several estimates. Theirs was the best! Thanks Max! God bless! Stay safe!"

"We had such a positive experience with Julio and his team from ET General Contractor Inc. From the very first meeting he was very clear and straight forward regarding what exactly would need to be done to remove the very large amount of bamboo and a dead cherry tree on our property. Not only did they show up early to get the job started but during unexpected problems, due to the intensity/large amount of bamboo, he was very clear about what they would need to do next, so we were never left guessing. The before picture is from our home's listing and doesn't show the full scale of how much bamboo needed to be removed, but paints a decent picture. We are so happy with our results and will definitely hire him again for future landscaping/contracting projects."

Customers say: Quick response

"They did not do a detailed job of pulling weeds. The price quoted was not worth the quality of the work. I had asked for a complete lawn cleanup and all flower beds to be weeded and I had to stop them before they left to get them to do the back only for them to say that is too much work."

"I recently hired Maria and Chris for a heavy haul away job, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their service! They were incredibly professional and handled everything with great care. They expertly removed a heavy piano from my basement, along with some miscellaneous items, and made the process seamless. They also picked up some cabinets and a bar too. Their attention to detail and commitment to getting the job done right was evident throughout. I highly recommend Maria and Chris!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.
