"Prices from Zola are much lower ,but quality and service are exceptional. We bought granite countertops. Classic granite and Marble were 1000 higher, for the same level of granite. We bought backsplash ourselves. The Zola tile man installed it. What an amazing job! They also installed a new wide sink too. The plumbers they sent did a wonderful job! I certainly recommend Zola! The kitchen looks beautiful! Spenser is the project manager and came promptly to measure etc. and is extremely knowledgeable and efficient."

"I had a very pleasant experience with my granite countertop purchase. From meeting with the sales associate at the store, the technician who measured, viewing the slab with the granite company project manager (Heather) and the installers, everyone was nice and professional. I am very pleased with my granite countertops and have received many compliments. Thank you Classic Granite and Marble."

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

Silestone® is a low-maintenance countertop material, but certain things, like strong chemicals and solvents, can cause damage. Abrasive scrubs can cause scratches, and products that contain oil or powder can leave a residue. Finally, avoid letting oven cleaner come into contact with Silestone® because it can cause discoloration.

Common issues include cracks, stains, scratches, and chips. These can occur from impacts, spills, or improper maintenance. Addressing them promptly can prevent further damage and maintain the countertop’s aesthetic and functional integrity.

Professionals use resin fillers, diamond polishing pads, and sealants to restore the surface.

Quartz countertops are relatively expensive, but they’re a very popular option because of their durability and attractive design. Some manufacturers also offer lifetime guarantees for their products. Even though they’re expensive, they could wind up being a one-time purchase.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface countertops can be cut with standard woodworking tools like a circular saw or a jigsaw, but using the correct blade is crucial for the best results.

The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

It is important to note that a diamond blade is not necessary. Diamond blades are designed for harder materials like natural stone, concrete, or brick, and Corian is not a natural stone.

Using blades designed for wood is not recommended as they can cause microfractures that weaken the countertop's edges. While a tungsten carbide blade provides a much cleaner cut, the resulting edge will still be rough and must be sanded and smoothed to prevent microfractures from developing over time.
