"Owner/Operator was professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. He cleaned all areas following installation, and explained operating instructions well. He was prompt and work area was clean. I would strongly recommend this company and have already scheduled my Mother’s Home for installation. Five plus stars!"

"Provider was suppose to return and finish laying sand on the patio. Since job was very close to complete, I paid him rather than wait. I never heard from him again. The sand has since washed out in spots and another provider is correcting the situation with polymeric sand. Other than the sand issue, the patio looks good in the way it is laid out. Provider was punctual, and the project went very fast considering it was in the middle of the winter.

"I've been working with Robbie and his company for over 8 years. He is one of our principle subcontractors. He does our landscaping and hardscaping. He has built an amazing team and continues to provide good quality service! It is always a pleasure working with him. I would definitely recommend Hometurf Landscapes!"

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

A two-way cleanout can help if there’s already a clog, but the best strategy to prevent one is by not rinsing grease, oil, or fat down your drains, not flushing or rinsing coffee grounds or egg shells down your drains, flushing only human waste and toilet paper (so no diapers, period products, bathroom wipes, or paper towels), and using drain guards on all of your drains.

When septic systems begin to fail, your waste will start to seep into the groundwater. You may notice a foul odor (it’ll smell like sewage) or a squishy, moist lawn. The grass right over your tank or drain field might grow super lush and green because your waste actually fertilizes it. Other signs include standing water in your drain field, slow-draining sinks and tubs, and gurgling noises in the plumbing.

Cesspools do not have an outlet or discharge area, so they must be emptied regularly. A professional cesspool cleaning company should come at least every six weeks and empty the contents. If it’s not emptied, it can begin to overflow sewage waste onto your property.

Most septic tanks need to be emptied every 3 to 5 years, but it’s a good idea to monitor the fill levels of your septic tank all the time. You can do this by installing a pressure level sensor to detect the internal tank pressure, or by having a septic tank company perform an annual inspection to let you know when you’ll need to pump the tank.

Never use Drano on blocked toilets. You can end up with a ghastly leak because the chemicals eat away at the glue that holds pipes together just as effectively as they do with clogs. Drano is known for being particularly rough on toilets, which is why some plumbers actually dislike the product.
