We ended up going a route where we didn't need his services but were very satisfied with the interaction.  This spring we had Jeff put a concrete block retaining wall in the cellar of our house.  The cellar had been dug out after the original construction of house and the original wall was in need of additional support ( after 65 plus years).  He also capped a second house chimney that use to provide for the kitchen and filled a previously installed concrete block retaining wall in the cellar. We have been very satisfied with the work Jeff  has done, would use him again if needed and would recommend his services to others that have need of masonry work.

"We recently had New Century Builders perform some much-needed work on our 40-year-old home. All of the carpet and vinyl flooring was removed, the paneling was removed from the dining room and kitchen, and repairs made to sheetrock throughout the entire 1248 square foot house. The walls and ceilings were given a fresh coat of paint, luxury vinyl plank flooring installed, some of the subfloor was repaired, and acrylic wall panels installed in one bathroom. Although not a large crew, all of this work was completed on time (about 3-1/2 weeks), other repairs made that were not in the original scope of work, and all of the scrap removed. The owner and his crew could not have been easier to work with. Any items that came up during this project (and there are always unseen and unknown glitches that will arise in a project of this size) were discussed and tackled right away without any pushback or hesitation. Even minor problems that my wife and I did not see were repaired to assure that a quality job was rendered. At times, even before we could say anything, one of the crew would spot a defect and make the necessary repairs because they take pride in their work and wanted to make sure we were satisfied. Workers showed up not just on time but early every day they were scheduled to work. All of this was done for a fair price. We highly recommend Donnie Linkous and New Century Builders for any home remodeling projects that you may have. We will definitely keep them in mind for any future projects that arise. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Hunter and his crew did some extensive structural remediation on a 50 year old house I recently purchased. The corners had stair-case like cracking and a basement wall underground had horizontal cracks. They drove piers under all 4 corners of the foundation and applied carbon fiber support straps to an underground wall. They also did some water drainage remediation to get water from the gutter downspouts further away from the house. It took several days but I was well informed of their work days/times and they were very professional, including the guys with shovels in their hands. They did a great cleanup and I feel very confident with what I saw, that my house is now stabilized for another 50 years."
