"J&V painting was great to work with. Very responsive and answered all my questions and offered advice when I needed guidance. Fairly priced and I kept adding things. They dealt with an indecisive person quite patiently. They were able to schedule me quickly which was huge since everyone else kept saying they couldn’t fit me in till spring. The work they did was spot on. I did a dark grey and bright white trim in my bathroom. Lines were crisp and smooth. Looks amazing. I did a color drench in a small bedroom with an accent wall and it turned out so pretty❤️. He took the time to make sure it was all done correctly and I approved. Highly recommend! Photos don’t do it justice."

Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

Spring and fall are the best seasons to apply wallpaper because excessively hot or cold temperatures can cause issues with the paste used to attach the paper to the wall. A professional wallpaper hanger can help you decide if your home is too hot, cold, humid, or dry for the wallpaper to stick properly.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.

Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper.
