"J&V painting was great to work with. Very responsive and answered all my questions and offered advice when I needed guidance. Fairly priced and I kept adding things. They dealt with an indecisive person quite patiently. They were able to schedule me quickly which was huge since everyone else kept saying they couldn’t fit me in till spring. The work they did was spot on. I did a dark grey and bright white trim in my bathroom. Lines were crisp and smooth. Looks amazing. I did a color drench in a small bedroom with an accent wall and it turned out so pretty❤️. He took the time to make sure it was all done correctly and I approved. Highly recommend! Photos don’t do it justice."

Hiring a professional wallpaper hanger is usually a worthwhile idea because, while the application of wallpaper itself is easy, getting the finished product to look good is complicated and takes a lot of practice and patience. A professional wallpaper hanger will not only be able to hang your wallpaper seamlessly, but they will also get an even application of wallpaper paste to avoid bubbling and imperfections immediately and over time. Painting over wallpaper is an efficient way to cover it if it’s in decent shape. Before painting over wallpaper, make sure the surface is clean and smooth. You may have to remove minor problem areas, such as lifted seams or small peels, with a sheetrock knife or putty knife. Add a latex- or oil-based primer to keep moisture at bay before painting. You’ll likely need two coats of paint to cover the area.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered.
