I have been in the construction industry on and off for most of my life. My entire family is in construction in one form or another so it is a tradition and passion for myself. There is no job too small or too large that I can not be of assistance to you. I have remodeled several homes in the area and built one complete home my self. If there is a project that is too large for me I have the connections in the industry to get you the right professional for the job at a reasonable price. Our family name is known well in the Rockbridge County area for custom precision work at a fair price.

Williams Brothers is a family owned & operated tree, lawn, and landscape company serving the greater Augusta County area. We are an Accredited Tree Care Company (Tree Care Industry Association-TCIA) and employ certified arborists. We also employ trained staff holding certifications in arboriculture, horticulture, pesticide and landscape design.

"The Williams Brothers Tree & Lawn Service team were great! My mother had a large dead tree in her back yard that she was worried it could hit the house if it came down in a storm. The crew drove the truck into the fenced dog area, missed the drainspouts, trimmed the tree up, listened to my mother's concerns, etc. They were so professional and friendly. She said the main guy in the bucket who did the tree topping was a 'master' at how he went about it. Very impressed. The other guys that came to help also cleared away any trace of mess, raked, and when they left they shut the farm gate on the dog's fence as well as took the time to replace the log-barricades we use to keep the dogs from crawling under the gate. Super guys, extremely fair price. Was really nice to find a company like them in the area."

Lawn Fertilization and Treatment questions, answered by experts

Before you put down grass seed, you should cultivate your soil or add two inches of topsoil. You should also put down fertilizer at the same time as your seed to prompt healthy growth. Be sure to water after you put down grass seed, especially for the first two weeks.

First, make sure you’re watering your grass early in the morning (and keep in mind you don’t have to water every day). Doing this helps ensure the water is able to soak in before the hot temps evaporate all of the water. Also, when you mow, don’t mow your grass as short as you would in non-drought conditions. Taller grass can help slow down the rate at which soil dries out. Finally, take your leftover lawn clippings and spread them out across the lawn to give it a little extra shade and nutrients.

If you use a starter fertilizer designed for this purpose, you can overseed and fertilize at the same time. If you opt to use a fertilizer for established grass or one with a weed control component, it's best to wait at least four to eight weeks after seed application to allow the new grass to take hold and establish itself.

No, grass pavers don’t require a lot of maintenance. However, you’ll need to keep the grass in between the pavers trimmed down just like you would with your lawn.

Yes, you can typically combine liquid aeration with other lawn treatments. However, follow the specific product's instructions and consider the compatibility of treatments. In most cases, liquid aeration can complement fertilization, overseeding, or weed control programs. Combining treatments strategically can address multiple aspects of your lawn's health and appearance simultaneously. Always read and adhere to the guidelines provided by the product manufacturers to ensure safe and effective application.
