My name is Michael Cale, I am in the process of starting up my own business called Cale's Hammer N Nails: Property and Auto Services. The plan is to get enough clientele that my boys can help expand the business. Currently my oldest is helping me on jobs and gaining experience along the way. Im out of Afton, TN on the north side 8 minutes from I-81. Im willing to travel for my services and I feel my pricing is fair across the board if not better. Currently looking to work out of Greeneville, the Tri-Cities area, and Morristown. Can go further out if needed too. I also offer hauling with my pickup I have if someone needs materials just picked up and delivered also or if anyone needs moving help from home to home. I look forward to serving this area with quality you deserve at reasonable prices.

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

A big resounding yes, hiring a contractor is 100% worth it. They bring expertise, manage permits, coordinate professions in different trades, and help avoid costly mistakes. A pro can keep your project on budget and schedule while ensuring quality work that adds value to your home.

A handyperson can perform a wide variety of home improvement and repair projects. Common jobs include painting, cleaning gutters, assembling new furniture, and replacing fixtures like cabinets or lights. They can also handle more complex tasks such as installing a dishwasher, fixing minor plumbing leaks, refinishing wood floors, and replacing doors. Generally, a handyperson is ideal for any project that does not require a specific license or certification, such as those related to major plumbing, electrical, or structural work, which should be handled by a licensed tradesperson.

Many contractors prefer checks because they’re easy to track and have no associated fees. However, many also accept credit cards (though they might add a fee to cover their processing costs).

You can find a reliable handyperson by looking at professionals in your area and ruling out companies with poor reviews online. Next, check each handyperson on the Better Business Bureau to see if they have a history of complaints and rule out those that do. Finally, you can contact each handyperson to ask the following qualifying questions:

  • What is your hourly rate?

  • Are there any jobs you can’t tackle?

  • Are you fully insured?

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Do you have references I can contact?

Most professional appliance removal companies will not expect a tip, but offering one is a good way to show appreciation for a job well done. A tip of 10% to 20% is a good idea if your professionals are working in the rain or snow, if they take extra care not to damage your walls and furniture in the removal process, or if they need to maneuver the appliance through tight spaces or up or down stairs to get it out of your home.
