"These guys were very professional and also very kind. They worked hard. They replaced my sprinkler valves and timer box and will come back next week when Roy City turns the water back on. They will turn on the system and verify that everything is working well and no leaks. They even killed a black widow for me. 😁 They are going to come back to do more projects too. I was so impressed with them that I told them I will hire them for all of my outdoor yard projects that I need help with that fit under their purview."

"It could be that Ivan has been busy. I figured out that he and his one helper got $116 per hour plus his materials. He does not work per hour but by job. It was a big yard. He was friendly and courteous and removed the ant problem."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead exposure poses significant health risks, including neurological, developmental, and behavioral disorders, especially critical in young children and fetuses.

It is safe to remove old linoleum, but it may require the help of a specialist due to the risk of asbestos in the material. Before you cut into linoleum or try to peel it up, have it tested for asbestos. If it tests positive, professionals will need to remove it to prevent the risk of health issues from airborne toxic particles. If it’s asbestos-free, DIY removal is possible and safe.

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.
