"Bryce build out four of my closets while we were completing our basement. We intended to use each closet/room for different purposes. He took thorough notes and measurements and sent me some mock ups based on what I told him I needed in each closet. He made sure we had all the necessary materials for the build and finished them quickly. I?ve loved having custom shelving in the closets rather than standard builder-grade installs."

Garages questions, answered by experts

Incorporating garage disinfection into your annual household cleaning routine is essential. Your garage constitutes a significant segment of your home and necessitates comparable attention to cleanliness, much like other living spaces. This becomes particularly vital since garages frequently remain overlooked and accumulate dirt and dust over time due to the tendency to fill up with old furniture, sporting equipment, boxes, and more.

While the benefits of garage door screens usually outweigh the downsides, there are some cons to installing one. First off, they can be quite expensive, especially if you’re having a professional install a retracting screen or a custom size screen. Second, they let fresh air and natural light in, but they also don’t provide the same privacy from people in the neighborhood that a solid door does. As you might guess, screens also won’t insulate your garage, so they’re often not usable in colder weather.

On average, RV garage doors are 12 to 14 feet tall to accommodate the large vehicles. Most RVs are approximately 9.5 feet tall but can be taller due to features such as air conditioners, satellite dishes, and luggage racks

The best method for painting a garage door depends on the door's design and the finish you want to achieve. For the most professional-looking finish, especially on doors with panels or intricate details, a paint sprayer is an excellent choice. It can easily get into hard-to-reach places and provide a smooth, even coat.

If you don't have a sprayer, or if your door is flat, a combination of a roller and a brush is the most effective approach. Use a roller for the large, flat sections to cover the area quickly and efficiently. For the best results, experts recommend a roller with a nap between ⅜ and ¾ inches thick; natural fibers can also help ensure an even coat.

A brush is essential for handling the finer details. Use it to paint grooves, angles, small panels, and the edges of the door where you need more control.

Regardless of the tools you use, it's a good idea to step back after the main application to review your work and use a detail brush to touch up any missed spots.

The most common garage door material is aluminum, but the best material for you depends on your budget and location. Wood is the most expensive to repair but tends to add the most curb appeal, while fiberglass or composite doors cost less to fix.

Aluminum won’t rust, so it’s a great option if you live somewhere humid or rainy. Steel doors are durable but are prone to rust. If you live somewhere with extreme temperatures, hot or cold, you might opt for fiberglass, which won’t split if the temperatures skyrocket or drop below freezing.
