"They arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. They offered to inspect and clean the second fireplace for the same Big Deal price as the first one. I am just north of the Layton city limits and they did not charge me extra for being north of Layton (even though it was mentioned in the ad).
They vacuumed the boxes in both fireplaces and climbed on the roof and clean the chimneys. One man went on the roof and the other man held a vacuum in the flue to catch the debris as it came down the chimney. They were very careful not to get the ashes or debris on my floor.
They inspected the fireplaces and chimneys inside and the chimney on the roof.
 
I also asked if they would check the gas line I just had installed in the living room fireplace because the gasline company drilled a hole in the masonry of the chimney outside but did not seal the entry point.  They suggested some calking to seal the hole.
They also gave me estimate to fix a few things that might become problems: like sealing the gap between the chimney and the shingles to protect my roof from the weather (they showed me a picture instead of making me climb one the roof to verify) and installing chimney caps on the two active flues to protect the flues from the weather/ small animals/birds and filling the third 'false' flue with a concrete? substance to protect it from the weather. Tthe estimate seemed very reasonable and they were not pushy or aggressive about getting any more work done.
It took about an hour total and they were gone.  All in all, it was a very positive experience. I would definitely go with them again if I needed something done with my fireplaces.

"I was very specific at the start of this project with what I wanted and had several pages of ideas and photos in mind to give Dan for him to bid with. All of my ideas were discussed prior to the project and Dan was able to accommodate everything I wanted. I can say with 100% certainty that the kitchen I got turned out better than what I hoped for. Dan's finish work was exceptional, and many pieces were cut to fit on site and painted like cabinet trim, baseboards, and side paneling to fit perfectly in place. "I recently began renting my home through a management company. When the AC stopped working I had my management company contact an AC company, and they chose Expert. Expert quoted $4000 to replace the AC. I then found another AC company myself (Humphrey) for a second opinion. Humphrey was able to fix the AC simply by changing the capacitor and fuse. Expert either 1) didn't bother to even look at it because the work order was coming from a management company and figured they paid whatever, or 2) did a really poor job diagnosing the problem. Either way, neither is favorable. My lesson learned as a new landlord--always find a repair company yourself."
