We have never had hardwood floors and we LOVE them. I want them in my whole house. Terry was quick to tell us how to care for the hardwood floors and brought our hardwood out a month early to 'season' the hardwood to the humidity in our home before laying the floors. Terry's estimate was not a penny above the final cost of the remodel, but they built several items not included on the original plans: He built a valance to match our cupboards, and shelves in a cabinet on the backside of our island so we wouldn't lose any storage space. He went with us to pick out our granite and tile and I am so impressed by the quality of the granite and the tile. Again Terry was very forthcoming at teaching us about the care of both the granite and tile. Terry's original estimate of the time they would need to complete our remodel was 6-8 weeks and they completed the kitchen and floors in less than six weeks. I would recommend Ivy League Builders, LLC and Mr. Terry Perkins highly to any of my family, friends, or acquaintances. Please view my before and after pictures. We ordered our cabinets the beginning of November. We went to their showroom, sat down with a salesman picked everything out including granite and drawer and cabinet pulls. Salesman came out and measured, and marked out where all the cabinets were going to go. We discussed at length, a built in entertainment center and we were told that this is something they do. All of the cabinets were to be hickory, including the the shelves on the entertainment center. This was the beginning of November. We were not told at this time that the cabinets that were being ordered would be an inferior product, or that the company that they get them from would take an extra four weeks to ship them, or that the pulls that we selected would be back ordered until the beginning of March. We were told 6-8 weeks, period. At the beginning of January, eight weeks after our order was placed, I called to schedule installation. I was told at that time the cabinets weren't in, and they couldn't figure out when they would be. I was told they would keep me updated, they didn't at all. I had to call several time just to get status updates. Finally, I was given January 27 as an installation date. I was told it would take four days. We put them on the schedule for Jan. 27, and gave them five days. Jan. 27th rolls around. No one shows up that morning. I call Excel at 11:00 A.M and was told that no one was coming that day, but they would put their fastest guy on it the next day. I was irritated, but what can you do?! Next day, cabinet installer shows up late morning and got to work. Finally! He got kitchen cabinets installed (except for island, of coarse that wasn't ready yet) He installed bathrooms and the laundry room. He was fast and did a good job. I don't feel it was his fault that there were about one fourth of the drawer and cabinet pulls that were "backordered", or that a panel/door in the kitchen was measured incorrectly, or the entertainment center was...(keep reading). Then the entertainment center.......I noticed when the cabinets arrived, the uppers were just cabinets without the doors on them. I called our salesman to verify that they weren't going to install them like this, these are supposed to be shelves, that they are going to be the focal point of our living room. The interior of the shelves does not even closely resemble hickory. they are a veneer that looks pink when put next to hickory. He then told me that with the company that makes the cabinets, there are some things that we just have to live with, this was one of them. This was not acceptable to me. I was not told when we ordered the cabinets and planned for the entertainment center, that the visible shelves would not match the rest of the wood. It is ridiculous that we paid nearly $7000 for this entertainment center that would be an eyesore. I told him I was rejecting the order. Our salesman then agreed to have the interior of the shelves "skinned" with hickory. And they would get the glass ordered for the TV components (shouldn't that have been done originally?). We were scheduled for the entertainment center to be finished, pulls to be installed, and granite to be re-installed 3/3/14 (Monday). What a surprise, no one showed up! Finally, after four messages, someone returned our calls. We were told no one was coming, after we waited around until 11! Wasn't anyone going to let us know? We were re-scheduled for Friday. Then someone calls to say that they need to re-schedule for 3/21/14. THIS WAS IT!!!!! I lost me mind!!!! I called and let them have it! I was then told that they could come on Thursday (3/6/14). That brings us to today....The rest of the pulls were installed, the glass doors were put on the entertainment center and the inside of the shelves were supposed to be skinned today. The cabinet installer brought in the veneer, IT DIDN'T MATCH AT ALL!!!!! The saga continues! This company wasn't the cheapest out there, I wish I would have known that this company was so horrible!!!! I hope that this post will be read and save someone from the nightmare that we are going through! DO NOT EVER HIRE Excel Cabinets!!!!!

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing reviews from real Angi homeowners in Riverton, UT
SO happy with this contractor. The work ended up exactly how I wanted it. I changed my shaker style cabinets to a more modern, sleek look and Colten made them even better than I thought. He was easy and professional to work with. Highly recommend!
Here's the summary of the problems: 1. I have damaged cabinets that they won't replace (damaged from their fabrication) 2. uneven counter tops they took much convincing for them to come repair. The counter is now even, but there are major gaps below because they fixed it the cheap way. 3....

He was A, everything that he did. Oh, yes I would use Baas Cabinets & Remodeling again. He couldn't put in the new countertop because he found that it was shipped to me with some damage and then when I had the new one shipped to me, he had prepared it well enough that I was able to put it in...

"I hired Bryant Construction to do a complete basement finish on our new home. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Not only is the finished product beautiful, but the quality is so good that it makes me wish they built the entire house. We absolutely love the space and are down there frequently. Another great benefit we received while working with Bryant Constructions is the partnership with them to ensure the best possible outcome. During the initial rough out work they noticed the plumbing in the basement wasn't done correctly. The slope for the toilet was too shallow which would cause enormous problems in the future. Most companies would have just overlooked this and moved on. Not only did Bryant call this issue out, but he was pivotal in the resolution. Providing great feedback and guidance, but also working directly with the home builder's plumber to ensure the issue was fixed correctly. Unfortunately, it wasn't fixed correctly by that particular plumber nor was the issue caught by the inspector for a second time after the 'fix' was completed. Knowing this would be a problem down the road, and not wanting to allow this issue to persist, one of Bryant's folks (Jeff) came up with a solution. They discussed it with us and then instituted it with our approval. It was so great that Bryant and his team had our back. Lastly, Bryant and his team are exceptional to work with. Not only are they professional and do fantastic work, but they are all great people and we felt like they always had our best interests in mind. I'd like to specifically call out Jeff in particular. I got to know him a bit while he was working in the basement. What a great person! And then there's Bryant himself. Thank you for making this huge project so easy and for always looking out for us."

5 Star Kitchen and Bath puts our customers wants and needs first, we do everything we can to provide you with a remodel that you want and deserve.
"I would like to preface this review with two things: 1. 5 star offers a discount on their work if you leave a good review, be weary of what you read on here. 2. We have had this company complete both a kitchen and a bath remodel. The issues I will bring up were consistent with both of these jobs. During both of our remodels, the biggest complaints I had were communication and quality. Two big components that a company should really pride themselves on if they cared about their customer base. Communication for our projects failed at almost every step of the way. The conversations had between us and the salesman were great, and then almost every single interaction that was not only had between us and the company but the company within themselves was comically poor. Some examples include: 1. Being told we would have a project manager come to our house prior to the project to check out our attic for structural questions (no one ever came before they started knocking down walls) 2. There were days workers would show up when we didn't know they were coming and not show up on days we were told they were supposed to be there. Not to mention the tile workers who had their truck parked outside our house from 8-5 but stayed in there late and left early to smoke. 3. Several unanswered/not returned calls and texts from the project managers. The only time the office reached out to tell us about something? When the bill was "due" even though our project wasn't complete yet. 4. Our salesman saying a project would take 3 weeks when in reality, it's been 3.5 months and there are still issues. 5. Anytime we asked the current workers what the plan was for the next day or really anything, they NEVER knew. They didn't know who was going to be working, they didn't know when, and they didn't know on what. 6. Several of the workers telling us point blank that their fellow workers screwed up and did things wrong. Good thing we caught it I guess? 7. Tile was about to be installed until I noticed it was not the right time, and the workers had no idea and they didn't know what tile they were actually supposed to put down or in what pattern. Then tile had to be ordered, delaying us even further. 8. The list goes on and on. It's as though no one in the company ever talks to each other, or their customer, and we're left trying to put the pieces together. Secondly, their quality of work is not worth what you pay, not even close. There has not been a single thing that they've done that we haven't had to ask them to fix or redo. This adds time to the project, financial strain on us as customers, and not to mention the stress of constantly acting as a project manager. We have had MAJOR things need to be redone (I'm talking walls needing to be taken apart and rebuilt, cabinet and ceiling painting, relocating outlets, and an ENTIRE SHOWER FLOOR), as well as other things (paint chipped walls, bad putty jobs, grout crumbling, paint splattered inside and outside the house and on and on) and all of it was because no one from their team cares enough to do it right the first time. The pictures I will include show *finished* products that they think are appropriate to leave as a job well done. Not only that, but just this last time when pointing out that the glass they had "special ordered" was actually measured wrong and therefore our shower door is crooked, I was told that my "OCD will just have to live with it." This company is not worth your time or effort. I would never recommend them to anyone."

FAQs for kitchen cabinet refacing projects in Riverton, UT
The cost of cabinet refacing is $7,230 on average. However, it's possible to pay between $1,200 and $16,000 for this project. Factors like the number of cabinets and the refacing materials impact the total cost significantly.
For example, plastic laminate is the most cost-effective cabinet option for refacing, costing $1,000 to $3,000. If you're looking for solid wood cabinets, you can expect to pay more, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 on average for refacing.
The cost to refinish cabinets is $3,000 on average. However, this cost can range from $700 to $6,000, depending on the size and location of the cabinets, the refinishing method, and number of cabinets.
Staining your cabinet doors is the most cost-effective option, costing between $4 and $10per square foot. However, if you choose to glaze them, that price jumps to $10 to $25per square foot.
The cost of home remodeling is $50,000 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range anywhere from $3,000 for a small projectto $170,000 for a whole home remodel. Factors like project size, location, and room type all affect your overall cost. For example, bedroom remodeling costs are one of the least expensive projects, costing about $1,500 to $5,500 per bedroom. However, a kitchen remodel has a significant cost range, totaling anywhere from $14,500 to over $70,000.
Yes, most states require home remodeling contractors to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed home remodeling contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
