"Stephen was my contact at TBTJDG (what a mouthful) and worked with me to get some of the best service and pricing in the valley. I had ~10 different contractors come to quote and they gave me one of the lowest prices, on top of that Stephen's email and text responsiveness was instantaneous. The turnaround time between saying 'let's do it' and installation was less than a week. Troy was our installer and while TBTJDG is relatively new to the valley Troy has 12 years experience doing installs. He showed up early to the three hour window that I was provided which is just unheard of with contractors. After walking the property Troy advised there was some wood rot on 5ft of fascia board and did the replacement for free. (Pictured) I opted to buy my own rain chains instead of downspouts and they installed the adaptors I need. Additionally, I had cable and electrical wiring to my fascia and they moved that for me, all at no cost added. Overall very pleased with the work and communication, I'd happily use TBTJDG again but the hope is I won't have to! While doing the install my neighbor came out and they'll be doing her install next week."

"This guy was the most amazing contractor I had the pleasure of working with. After meeting with others before him, he was the only one that was able to get my insurance to replace my damaged roof from a recent storm. I felt he went above and beyond my expectations and really put in the work as if it was his own roof. Couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. 10/10 would absolutely recommend him to anyone I know needing roofing repairs or replacements."

"After our roof was damaged in a historic wind storm in Salt Lake we called Ron Case Roofing for repair of shingles that were damaged. We have used them before to shingle the whole roof and to repair previous damag when a tree limb fell on the roof. They gave us an estimate on the day of the storm and did the work the next morning. We were relieved and happy with the work."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals can repair or replace sections with seamless copper for better durability.

Yes, and repairing such damage is another repair that’s done often. Sagging gutters are usually the result of one of two things: damage or overload. For example, ice buildup over the winter due to clogged gutters can cause expansion, stretching the gutters. A falling tree limb or even a rogue baseball can cause gutters to sag. Sagging gutters can be repaired, but they are often replaced because it can take less time.

Unless you've chosen to install underground downspouts, your gutter downspouts shouldn't touch the ground. If they come into contact with the soil or pavement next to your home, rainwater can back up into them during a storm, preventing them from doing their job effectively. Instead, aim to have your downspouts end about 12 inches from the ground.

Yes. Excessive pitch in gutters can cause water to flow too rapidly, leading to a decrease in the gutter's water-holding capacity; consequently, during heavy rainstorms, water may awkwardly splash outside the gutters. Ideally, you should aim for a quarter-inch of gutter slope for every 10 feet of gutter run. However, it's important to note that this guideline may vary depending on your home's structure and the type of gutters being installed.

In most cases, it makes more sense to repair leaking or damaged gutters than it will to replace them. You’ll spend an average of $400 to repair your gutters, while full replacement will cost around $2,000 or more, depending on the gutter material and style and the size of your home. If your gutters are nearing the end of their lifespan—usually around 20 years for aluminum or vinyl gutters or up to 50 years for copper or steel—then it might make sense to replace them, as it could cost you less in the long run.
