"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. "We moved three bedroom house furnishings from Holladay Utah to Pleasant View. The move required two trucks. Communication ahead of move was good. Our estimator, Jason Perry was very efficient and accurate with materials and man-hour estimated. Packing materials were delivered to home well ahead of move. The move itself was supervised by Michael Fario who did a fantastic job with his crew. They worked very hard while ensuring security of all furnishing as well as preventing any damage to both homes we moved out of and into. I would highly recommend All My Sons for all of your moving needs."

"Ours was actually a powder room remodel, of sorts. We had a water leak that had caused us to need to replace the floor, including 3 joist under the house. There was also some work to damaged Sheetrock on the bottom of the wall all the way around the room and the toilet flange. Preston and Allen were out on day one and got the work under the house completed and by the time they left for the day they had the floor in. Allen was back on day 2 and completed all of the work: dry wall, base boards, toilet flange, installed new VCP flooring, etc. Both of these guys were very professional. They came in, communicated what needed to be communicated, got to work, kept their work areas clean and in good shape, were always available and open to questions and gave great advice. Very well satisfied with their work and will use Cransten again when the need arises."

Customers say: True professional

"Home Advisor listed professional as not being able to contact until next business day. I was surprised to see that I was contacted and had my intended project looked at that very day. The price for the project was more than reasonable, but was unable to move forward with project due to finances, timing, and wrong product already bought for project. He was very respectful and offered great advice for the work to be done. As a first time user using the app and services I give it a 5 star review as I intend to use Leonard's Handyman services at a later date."

"He exceeded my expectations and did it much quicker than I expected. I had a run of impact sprinklers that would not move and 2 would not even pop up. He replaced a total of 10 sprinklers in half the time I thought it would take. I will proudly recommend him to all of my friends and family and will definitely use him again!!!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

Gym equipment can be heavy, so it’s best to transport it using a furniture dolly. When dealing with treadmills, weight machines, or other bulky items, hiring professional movers or roping in some friends and renting a moving van makes sense.

Yes, many office moving costs are tax deductible, but only businesses are eligible to deduct moving expenses on their taxes. Personal moves, such as relocating for a new job or moving from an apartment to a house, are not deductible.

However, not all business taxes are deductible by that business. Deductible business moving expenses are limited to the direct costs associated with relocating office supplies and equipment. This process encompasses brokerage fees for securing a new location, space surveys, packing, loading, transportation, and unpacking. Costs related to moving employees or other indirect expenses are not eligible for tax deductions.

Dismantling a bed frame makes moving it from one location to another easier. However, you might not need to completely disassemble it—especially if you’re moving it from one room of your home to another.

Yes, you can very carefully lay down a grandfather clock to move it, but it requires a bit of prep work. Remember, all of your clock's components and mechanisms are delicate, and shifting them can cause serious damage. Before laying it down, you will need to remove these pieces, plus the weights and the pendulum.

When planning an out-of-state move, you should aim to save enough money to cover at least two to three months of living expenses, including rent, food, utilities, and transportation. Ideally, saving for six months or more is best, especially if you don't have a job lined up. You also need to budget for the transition costs, such as a moving vehicle rental, hiring movers, and packing materials. Cross-country moves typically cost between $2,400 and $6,860. You can calculate your estimated moving costs in advance based on factors like distance, weight, and the number of bedrooms.
