"English is a second language to him. Be patient. Sometimes he uses a family member to assist in translation. Regardless, he's wonderful to work with. At our request, he returned to do additional touch ups. He stands behind his work. I paid what he gave us a bid. VERY COMPETITIVE. He also supplied references. We even went to some of his previous jobs to verify the quality of his work. At the time he worked on our home, he only had a business license and not a contractor license. However, I'd hire him again."

"Loyals did a wonderful job on a tile remodel for my shower. They leveled the shower pan and built me in a custom shower shelf. The work was high quality and they communicated very well."

"We're in the process of closing the sale of our home. Based on an inspection, the buyers requested some stucco repairs. We called BA Critchfield Construction to estimate the cost of the repair work and provide an opinion on whether the repairs were necessary. Boyd Critchfield, president of the company, came to our home. He was very professional. He viewed the area where the buyers had requested the repairs and concluded they weren't necessary. He then followed up by sending us a written opinion confirming what he had told us and didn't charge us anything for doing so. Although we didn't have any stucco work done, we strongly feel that the way in which Mr. Critchfield handled our request for assistance evidences that his company maintains the highest standards of integrity. If we ever have need for stucco work in the future, we will use BA Critchfield Construction; and we would highly recommend the company to anyone who has a need for stucco work."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Yes, most services include matching the replacement pieces to the existing flooring. Confirm with your contractor.

If contractors discover water damage, rot, or mold beneath the stucco, additional repairs will be necessary. These repairs can increase your total project cost and timeline, but addressing them promptly is essential for your home’s structural integrity. Ignoring hidden damage can lead to more severe issues and higher costs in the future.

Stucco applied over brick can last 30 to 50 years or more when correctly applied and properly maintained. Stucco’s lifespan can be shortened by improper application, incorrectly mixed material, lack of preparation before application, and lack of maintenance. To get the most life out of your stucco siding, keep up with maintenance and repair any damage as soon as you discover it.

Yes, using natural additives and methods that lower impact.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.
