"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"Amazing crew and very pleasant to work with. They went above and beyond with the plethora of projects we had and I can’t thank them enough. Our original contractor went radio silent the day he was suppose to show up for work, so Eric and his team showed up on a holiday and divided and conquered the entire laundry list of jobs we had. They did a great job and I will hire them again in a heartbeat. Our sincere gratitude goes out to Eric and his team for the excellent customer service and quality work completed!"

"Super smooth process. General quote took about 20 minutes and a week later we had our custom screens and sliding door installed. I don’t remember the time frame that they quoted for it to be done, but they did it much quicker than I expected. Excellent work!"

Small jobs welcome

"We were wanting to extend our grass area in Pine Valley. In order to make this happen we needed to have sprinklers extended and also some replaced to cover a bigger area. We also needed to extend water lines to make it possible to add more grass with more valves at a later date. This was accomplished very timely and at a lower cost than we were thinking. The trenches were filled in and those areas that needed to be reseeded were taken care of. We are very happy with the results and are looking forward to more play area for our family. We are very happy with the results."

"Larry was super nice so I feel bad but I am frustrated. Paid almost 300 to have two hoses disconnected, the toilet handle fixed and two things hung on wall. Toilet handle still sticks, he broke the faucet and I had to pay for part. Flat fee for two hours, yet, that also includes cleaning mud he tracked through the house and time to go get part. I was impressed with the communication prior to the service but really expected better quality. In two hours would have though more of my list would have been completed."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Window screens can help keep some heat out of your home, which is one benefit of using them in summer. It’s also the reason experts suggest removing your screens in winter—so it’s easier for the sun’s warmth to filter into your home. This will keep you cozier and potentially reduce your heating bills.

To ensure the longevity and smooth functioning of new windows, regular maintenance is essential. This includes cleaning the glass and frames, inspecting seals for leaks or damage, and reapplying caulking as needed. It is also important to lubricate all moving parts and operating mechanisms to ensure they continue to operate smoothly.

No, it’s not safe to leave a doggy door open. It might be more convenient, especially at night when you just want to lay in bed. However, when you leave it open, it increases the chance of other critters getting in without your knowledge. Also, it leaves your pup unsupervised for hours at a time.

The cost of a window repair varies significantly depending on which part is damaged. Here is a breakdown of common repairs and their estimated costs:

  • Broken seal or fogginess between panes: $70–$245

  • Cracked pane: $40–$100

  • Broken glass: $200–$2,000

  • Sash, seal, or track repair: $200–$600

  • Latch or hardware issues: $75–$200

  • Broken window frame: $175–$1,000

  • Window screen replacement: $140–$480

Most windows last for 15 to 30 years, depending on the frame material and the glass quality, but most will require repairs during that time. Windows gradually lose efficiency, so it’s usually best to have a window repair technician inspect and service your windows every five to 10 years. You should also repair your windows if you experience the following:

  • Leaks

  • Drafts

  • Difficulty opening or closing

  • Sudden increases in heating and cooling bills

  • Outdoor noise becomes more audible

  • Signs of physical damage
