Online website and all countless times. Not one response. Wish they would at least respond to a customer to honor their warranty but no chance here it looks like. So many better groups out there. A layer of exposed aggregate concrete should be 1 to 2 inches thick if you’re installing it on top of existing concrete. If you’re pouring a new slab with the finish, slab thickness will depend on the application. Exposed aggregate concrete driveways should be 4 to 6 inches thick in most cases or 8 to 12 inches for commercial vehicles. Sidewalks, patios, and walkways should be 4 inches thick.

Skim coating is when you apply a thin layer of drywall compound to textured walls, creating a smooth surface. This can be done for relatively little money—skim coating costs an average of $600—and can be a simpler way to smooth a wall versus removing texture. Since you apply the skim coat directly on the texture, it is a faster process than removing the underlying texture altogether.  

You can paint concrete with paint rollers. In fact, using paint rollers is considered one of the easiest ways to evenly apply paint on concrete. A paint roller with a 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick nap—which is basically a fabric paint roller cover—is best for painting concrete. The thicker the nap, the more paint it can hold to fill those pesky concrete cracks and crevices.

Gray is always a safe bet when painting concrete countertops, since concrete is a variation of gray. You may also choose black or white, but those are much starker colors that only do well in certain kitchens. 

The cost to overlay or resurface a garage floor averages about $3 to $9 per square foot, depending on the preparations involved, the size of the floor, and the type of finish. Some decorative topcoats like stamped concrete and ornate overlays can cost from $7 to $20 per square foot, depending on the complexity of the design and finish.
