"Richard called the same day I requested. We set an appointment for the following morning. He came in, did the job, explained what and why he did it, and my drain was unclogged. His quote to do the job was $115 less that another quote. Great value, price, speed, and service. btw he brought along his wife, as a bonus on the side she gave me some great perma-culture tips. Would definitely use again."

"Ray came by my home on the same day as I submitted the job and I hired him on the spot. I had 3 bathroom sinks where the water shutoff valves were corroded solid. We were replacing the builder grade faucets with more contemporary ones that my family had purchased online. Ray completed replacing the 1st sink's faucet shut off valves and when we went to install the purchased faucet we discovered that to install the faucet would require additional modification the the sink to allow the faucet to be installed. He discussed what was needed to install the faucet and it was decided that we would purchase different faucets to install and rescheduled the appointment for the following week to complete the work. He arrived at the appointed time and completed the work for all three sinks. He cleaned up the job site and did an excellent job. I would hire him again."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

To keep your toilet from clogging, you can use less toilet paper. You can also use a liquid toilet plunger to break up any clogs and keep the toilet drain and pipes clear. When it comes to a clogged toilet, the best route is prevention by using less toilet paper and making sure the mechanisms are all working properly.

Yes, short hair can clog a drain. While you might be tempted to blame the long-haired people living with you for a clogged drain, hair—no matter the length—can combine with soap scum and leftover shampoo to create a perfect storm of sticky mess that can cause your drain to slow down.

Your clothes—and your washing machine—will send you a few signals if you’re overdue for cleaning your washing machine filter. If you notice a buildup of detergent residue on your clothes, your clothes don’t dry quickly or at all, or you’re noticing lint in the machine, it’s time to clean the filter.

Septic tanks can clog if they aren’t pumped every few years since solid waste accumulates inside of them. Your tank might also clog if you have a habit of flushing anything other than human waste or toilet paper. Items like diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, cat litter, and personal hygiene products should never go down your pipes.

Bleach is generally not recommended for your shower drains. Although diluted bleach can technically help clean your drain, it will not unclog your pipes. In fact, bleach can harm your plumbing system because it’s so powerful. The bleach can change the color of your sink and even corrode metal pipes and fittings.

Often, people reach for bleach because it's already in their house. But it's worth getting a plunger or a drain snake for the job instead. It'll be a lot less money to buy a new plunger than to pay a plumber to repair or replace damaged pipes.
