Work (replace sod in front yard) was done well and in just one day. 5 weeks later, the new sod is now well established and the grass is green, lush, and growing rapidly. Salesman was too aggressive and high pressure.

The company did not do what it promised to do. He had not finished the job even though he had been paid in full. $14500.00 the addresses he is using for his business are fake and his company is not located there. The Service pro does not have any knowledge of drainage systems but he claims he does.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE...........THEY SUCK. They are these most unprofessional contractors we have EVER encountered.

Jose Sanabria J.S. and his worker, Charles Cory run an incredibly shameful bait-n-switch scam. I was looking for a company to install artificial turf and found J.S. Tree Services off of Angie. Initially, it was a free estimate and I thought this was great, but then I realized it was all over the phone and knew the estimate would not hold up because once they came on-site, all the numbers and quotes would change so I paid for the $150 on-site evaluation, which went towards the cost of the project. After the on-site consultation, I was provided with a quote that outlined the cost of labor for 2 days ($6,249 per day) then told materials would be an extra $4-6K, making the high end of this job around $18,500. I agreed and put down a 40% deposit. From there, it was a nightmare. The company never communicated with me when they were going to be on-site / working in the backyard and I have a dog at home, so I had to frantically make arrangements with one of my neighbors. Then, they made the decision on their own to use 24x24 pavers after I provided a drawing and clearly stated that I wanted 36x24 pavers. Finally, the black star gravel was nowhere near black. At the end of day one, I was handed a $12K bill and we HAD NOT EVEN started to discuss the artificial turf. Charlie underestimated the labor AND materials. This was a 3-4 day job (at $6,249/day) plus another $25K for the remaining materials (baseboards, drains, gravel, crushed granite, artificial turf, etc. I could not believe it. I was quoted on 2 days of labor and $4-6K in materials and now I was looking at 4 days of labor with a total of $33K in materials for a total of around $58K!!! THIS WAS UNREAL. I have all the text messages and quotes from Jose and Charlie... they both agreed and acknowledged that the quotes were incorrect, but are still not willing to honor them. Instead, I was forced to pay the $12K and left with only half the job done. The only thing they did on the day was was level the sidewalk areas around the house, and lay 24x24 pavers and gravel. The whole backyard was left torn up... no work regarding the artificial turf. I had to find another contractor to finish the job. TOTAL NIGHTMARE and nothing but lies and scams.

I wish I would have read both Billy D. and Patrick Bs reviews before I hired J.S. Tree Service to build a new patio addition to my home. This has been by far the WORST HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECT EVER!! Below are lists of my concerns 1. FALSE ADVERTISING ON SOCIAL MEDIA (free estimates and company in-house financing) The NOT SO FREE in-home estimate ends up costing me $149 after the 2-member team comes to your home, they give you 10 days to decide to proceed with their bid, otherwise, you lose your money! In regards to the companys in home financing that is not true. Turns out they more so *recommend* lenders rather than actually handling the financing directly. 2. COMMUNICATION... HORRIBLE, it has been extremely difficult getting questions or concerns answered by this company, owner Jose and Robin initial company contact person-she has been since instructed to not contact me due to RUDENESS and lots of project detail INCONSISTENCIES! !!!!BEWARE!!!!, I am currently in this ongoing NIGHTMARE with JS Tree Service! They have yet to apply for the permit with my country permit department for structure approval but yet saying the work is done and needs to be paid!! I feel that I am being SCAMMED and just wanted to share my story. I too wish I would have seen Billy D and Patrick Bs reviews before I chose to do business with JS Tree Service. I may have to contact legal action to retrieve my 40% down payment

Wishing I had read Patrick B.â s review before hiring this company for anything. I paid double (at least) to them for replacing a small section of sidewalk. After being promised the material cost would not be over $600, I was billed $2600. I was charged $300 for a delivery fee that was never mentioned. I was charged for 2 and 1/2 days of work that took 10 hours to do. The upsell for finishing work needed around the new concrete was a surprise. A company with any integrity would have estimated the whole job from beginning to end. The work was done on their time and at their whim. Spent mornings waiting for only to be told they werenâ t coming that day. Horrible company to do business with. Patrick, if you begin a lawsuit, please let me know.

This review details the experience I had when having a driveway and concrete pad installed and not the "tree service" part of the company. The quality of work was good, the folks doing the work were knowledgeable and easy to get along with however, beware that even though the contract says they will provide ".. wholesale cost receipts when the project is completed", they will not. I've been trying to get these for over a month because the material cost came in way higher than it should. I've been told many stories like "we have a warehouse that we keep these items in and that's why we don't have receipts". Which is a complete lie, even laughable, if that was true then why would they not price the material in the first place. I am now working with legal to get this resolved. I guess if you don't ever ask questions about how they came up with the material cost and don't mind over-paying, then you might be happy. The quality of work is pretty good but that's because the company contracts out to various subcontractors to do the work. Anyway, beware of the bait and switch. I don't trust them and I think Home Advisor should do a little homework on this company. I've seen terrible reviews explaining the same issues. Terrible experience!

Overcharged and not honest.

It is a real struggle to get them to finish the agreed scope of the job. I am still working on it - at this point about 25% of the work is not done and I have not heard from them in a week.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT experience! Alex explained services in full & set it up. Project started as promised, great workmanship, timely, clean-up and friendly! I fully recommend this company!

The end product was great. We wanted a paver walk up to the front door. We got a beautiful walkway! The workers and crew chief are amazing. Also the tree service is top notch. The customer service was lacking.. they would just show up with no notice! I would suggest hiring someone to design your plan then have these guys do your work. The finished project was great, but over budget.

Contractor listened to what we wanted and completed the work in 2 days. Eric was very courteous and responsive. Requested additional work which was completed during the same time frame. Requested contractor to continue performing weekly maintenance.
