"We had a bathroom partially remodeled. New counter top, new tub, new tile, wall textured. Almost everything was done very well, but not the way we had wanted it. We wanted white tile and white marble counter top and they chose to give us a sand colored counter top and slightly darker than sand tile with brick red grout. While it wasn't what I wanted, I've gotten used to it and it looks good. The texture on the walls didn't come out so well. It was Friday and they were in a hurry to go bowling and the texture was slopped on very fast and of an inconsistent thickness. Over the next few days as it dried it cracked all over. Not what I wanted. They also didn't clean up that Friday because they were in a hurry and I had joint compound tracked through my house. This company can do a really good job if you are careful to put in writing exactly what you want and hold them to it."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Regularly clean the blades, check for loose screws, and lubricate moving parts to prevent noise and wear.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.

You can easily clean an electric fan by wiping it with a damp cloth, all-purpose cleaner, or mild detergent. Ensure the fan is not plugged in or turned on while you’re cleaning it. Also, try to keep liquids out of the motor, which can lead to damage.

While ceiling fans shouldn’t get loose over time, they still can—especially if they’re installed incorrectly. A wobbling or tilted ceiling fan can shift the screws out of place, causing it to loosen and become a fall risk. It’s important to tighten screws and balance blades as soon as you notice that they’re misaligned or uneven to prevent the ceiling fan from loosening further and becoming a hazard.

The most efficient ceiling fan height is 8 to 9 feet from the floor to the fan blades. For ceilings higher than 9 feet, a downrod can be used to lower the fan to the optimal height. This positioning ensures adequate air circulation and maximizes the cooling effect. Remember, fans should be installed at least 7 feet above the floor for safety.
