We have never experienced storm or hurricane damage in the 35 years we have lived in our home but it was time we mitigated the risk. These shutters also function as security for our home when we are away on a trip. They are managed either individually from a local remote control or can be managed remotely via a mobile application from a smartphone. He suggested, since there are several casement windows in the living room and adjoining dining room that a breaking glass sensor would work better and be more cost-effective than alarming all the windows. He did alarm a door that the previous company (inherited when we bought the house twenty-three years ago) had not considered significant. I feel safer with the current sensor choices than the ones I had before.
