"Juan and his crew showed up ready to work. They always showed up when we were expecting them to. We even experienced a hail storm in the middle of it all. They didn't let that stop them. If they could work at all they were here. All the crew was polite and even cleaned up their mess. My husband and I were impressed by the quality of work done and how fast they finished the project . Juan was great at communicating everything they were doing g and how much it would cost. We paid them in three payments till it was done. Because there was a hail storm our roor also needs to be replaced now. I got 3 estiments and he was by far the cheapest. I am sure they will again do quality work."

"Be aware if you do not hire them they will charge you a service fee of $75 that is not disclosed upfront. They send you a bill disclosing that they get charged a fee and they are transferring the fee to person who is requesting the estimate. I would not request and estimate from them you do not plan to hire them. Below is the note I received for payment. I might have rated them higher had they disclosed this information up front. They are eager to do the work which I applaud however if fees are going to be charged they should be disclosed prior to. Perales Personal Services requested $75.00 for your Demolish and Remove Structures project through HomeAdvisor Pay, our contact-free payment feature! ____________________________________________ Note: I charge for the estimate if I win the bid and goes off and get whatever we charge you if I don't then that's where y'all have to pay it because HomeAdvisor charges us a fee so even though if we when y'all are not we have to pay that so I think it's only fair that we charge our estimate fee"

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Using a fabric softener solution is a popular and low-cost DIY method for removing wallpaper, but its effectiveness is limited. While it may work on some types of wallpaper, it is unlikely to be successful on vintage styles, and there is no evidence that it is more effective than other removal methods. There are also several potential downsides: the solution can leave behind a residue that may damage your walls or interfere with the adhesion of new wallpaper. Additionally, this method can create a strong, overpowering aroma that takes a long time to dissipate, making it a poor choice for homeowners sensitive to smells.

If you’re installing new wallpaper and have leftover glue, you can remove unused wallpaper paste from the bucket or pan it’s in by letting it dry. If it’s an oil-based paste, seal it in a plastic bag and throw it in the garbage. Otherwise, toss the leftover wallpaper paste in the trash. Although it’s water-soluble, don’t rinse unused wallpaper paste down the sink because it could dry in the pipes and cause a blockage.

The average cost to remove wood paneling is $2,800, but total costs may be higher or lower depending on the size of the room, your location, and the amount of prep work required. Once the paneling is gone, you may have additional costs depending on the condition of the wall beneath.

Yes, many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, especially those made of vinyl or polyester. However, its success depends heavily on the level of moisture and ventilation. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

Removing a wallpaper border requires the same process to remove full walls of wallpaper. Clear the area, spray down the surface with your hot water and vinegar solution or store-bought spray, wait 10 to 15 minutes, then scrape it off with a putty knife. Sometimes, border wallpaper lifts easier than larger sheets, so you can just peel it right off the wall by hand.
