I wanted to install a second set of double doors, enlarge the size of window trim, install plywood on the ceiling rafters. I purchased all the supplies and even did the cut-away/demo work needed to provide a clean-edged section to replace. The technician was nice enough and very apologetic after he had to go out to the car and come back with a 5-hour, $800 quote for what was, arguably, 30 minutes of work (that's what it ended up taking me to do after I refused their quote). The kicker? They charged me a $90 "service fee" for, literally, 5 minutes. It's obvious what they do: they don't quote, they don't tell you about the service fee, and they don't "estimate": they look at a job, fill in a form ("a large hole needs to be patched"), and it spits out a # of hours. Horrible. Will NEVER call this company again for anything."
