"Ortega Tile did a beautiful job laying our porcelain “wood” tile floors in a very large space. His work was of excellent quality and he tended very nicely to the details to make sure if looked perfect. I appreciated his professional advice regarding what would be best for transitions and layout. He paid close attention to the details regarding the pattern of the tile and what would look best in placing each piece. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product! We would definitely use him again for any other tiling needs in our home."

"Disappointing that he cut the hole and charged me $200, but said he couldn't crawl under the house.  I called someone
up from Austin/San Marcos and they crawled under there and fixed/replaced the leaky plumbing.  Yes they got very dirty and were very tired but they completed the job.  The trick was to skirt along the beams where there was space.

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

You should always seal cut countertops to prevent damage and to keep them looking their best. The right way to seal countertops depends on the type of material. For laminate and wood, apply epoxy or other specialty sealers by pouring it onto the countertop and letting it flow across the whole surface to the edges, guiding it with a paint stick or putty knife. You will need to move quickly so that it does not dry or harden before you are done. For stone countertops, use a sealant specially manufactured for your type of stone and apply it according to manufacturer directions.

No, you cannot use vinegar to polish marble. It is too acidic for cleaning or polishing and can etch the surface. Instead, opt for non-acidic cleaners made specifically for marble. Follow the manufacturer’s directions to ensure proper application and to protect the marble. However, a damp mop can be an effective marble cleaner when used appropriately and as long as moisture is immediately soaked up.

One of the primary benefits of a soapstone countertop is that the material is heat-resistant. You can put a hot pan on soapstone, and it won’t scorch or crack. Despite being able to handle extreme heat, soapstone is much softer than granite, quartz and similar materials. This means that it scratches easily, so you should not prepare food directly on the surface.

Common causes include impact, heat, and improper cleaning agents. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.

In most cases, chipped or cracked granite can be salvaged, but it depends on the size and scope of the damage. For example, a pro can smooth out small chips on the edge with polish pads or an angle grinder, but a crack that runs through the stone's surface has little-to-no chance of being fixed easily.
