"A big thank you to John and Jared of US Windows for saving the day on our window project! We were taken advantage of by a previous window company, Texas Pride Windows and Doors / Brian Young, who stole our deposit and ghosted us. Jared and John reached out to us after seeing our story on the Channel 2 news in Houston. They helped us replace 27 windows and 3 doors with very high quality Pella and Thermatru products. They contracted an AWESOME install team lead by Reginaldo and about 12 other installers. ALL were very friendly and professional and stayed until the job was done. They draped the entire work area and cleaned up EVERYTHING. Excellent attention to detail. I would recommend John, Jared and US Windows for any window replacement job! Thanks Guys!!"

"Excellent workmanship and products I have had three installations with Power in the past two years. I first used them for a new roof and gutters. The workers were all knowledgeable in their area of work. Clean up was good although some nails kept showing up over time. Next I had the 2nd floor windows and some 1st floor windows replaced, 9 in total. Installation went well and they cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I love the windows! They are a beautiful and energy efficient product. Lastly, I recently had a bay window replaced in my kitchen with the same type window. The workers ere all friendly and explained what would be done. The area was draped with plastic to cut down on dust. Clean up was excellent inside and outside! The window is beautiful and the framing on the outside of the window matches the other windows and the small roof above the bay window was replaced with the same roofing as the rest of the house. I would choose them again for any future projects."

"Well. Took a bit longer because the first set of new windows did not fit due to window frame being out of square. Had to remake and installed a week later."

"Dave was very enthusiastic about taking on the work I needed done at my house. We scheduled a day/time for him to review the work that needed to be done and he arrived at the agreed upon time. The work was done over a two day time period. This fit very well within my work schedule. His helpers were courteous and very professional. One of the jobs was to hang a heavy shelf over the head of a bed. I wanted to be sure it was going to be sturdy and not fall down. Dave assured me that it would be installed correctly and it was. Dave and his helper also did an outstanding job on the trim work around the windows in the bedroom. I had been living with unsightly windows due to some unfinished drywall around the windows. His helper added the type of trim to the windows that I wanted. It looks like a new room now. Also, the soffits in front of the house had two areas that were rotten. Squirrels got in the attic through one of the holes several years ago. I patched the two areas temporarily to prevent anything from getting back in the attic until I could get it repaired/replaced. Dave and his helper replaced those two area and it looks great.

"I contacted JR solar screens by phone after checking Angi's List, who gave a great review of the company. I spoke with the owner of the company and set-up a date and time for him to measure the windows and quote a price for the work. He arrived on time, which I appreciate and depend on. I watched him install the solar screens on my house windows and was impressed with his attention to detail, making sure all the joints were tight and level. He was very pleasant to work with, and I highly recommend JR screens to anyone who needs work done on their home."

"We had a great experience with Villegas Glass & Windows. They reached out immediately after inquiring and were able to verify measurements and provide a quote. The price was reasonable and they were able to do the job the following week. They did an excellent job replacing our old windows and refreshed the look of our home. I’ll definitely use their services again and recommend them to others."

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.
Window replacement can become costly, especially if you’re replacing your whole home. There are a few steps you can take to help save money on the bottom cost while still giving your windows a facelift.
Replace multiple windows at once to bundle your purchase
Inquire about discounts, coupons, or special offers
Consider window repair as soon as you see damage to help prevent the need for replacement
Maintain your windows often by inspecting your windows for drafts, leaks, and cracks
There are certain window repairs that are cost-effective to DIY and relatively simple for homeowners to tackle themselves. Tasks like replacing a screen, replacing a lock, or sealing a window are typically under $30 and take minimal time to do yourself. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows. For a smaller job, you can expect the total timeline to be on the shorter end, but for a whole house window replacement, it might take longer (or be split into multiple install appointments). Once your windows are created and ready to be installed, your window installer will take 30 to 60 minutes per window to install.
