"Brad from The Finishers visited our home to give us a quote for work we thought needed to be done.  This is exactly why this review is rated highly.  We had a couple of items in the cabinetry genre that needed attention.  We informed him of our thoughts that we may put our home on the market and that we didn't want to go overboard on repairs and refinishes.  After we showed him item 1, he indicated a particular repair process that we could cheaply and sufficiently perform on our own!  (He even told us the method, the names of the product and where to go to buy and get further guidance.)  Item number two was a huge money making opportunity for him.  Refinishing a good amount of cabinetry.  However, he assured us that it wasn't in horrible shape, and again gave us details as to how to fix our wood products.
Item number 3 was wallpaper removal, wall painting and trim/door painting.  He informed us that he is no longer in that business.
So, in reality, we did not contract him for anything or pay him for anything.  But he DID provide service to us.  This is why I checked the yes box regarding services performed.  We have not contracted him to perform any work, because he convinced us it wasn't necessary.  Whaaaaat?  
Brad was truly professional and gracious.  I immediately forgot the name of the products after he left and called him on the phone. He answered the question again for me.  Then...two days later, he followed up with an email to see if we had tried the repairs, yet.  What wonderful customer service.  
When I need something done in the cabinetry or wood furniture refinishing areas, I am calling Brad at The Finishers!!!  I think you'd be pleased with the high level of customer service that Brad supplies.

"My husband and I hired Artistic Painting to paint the interior of our home (bedrooms, living room, kitchen, including shutters, built-in bookcases, and shutters). We could not have been happier with the service we received from Juan, both in how he was attentive to our needs/requests and of course with the end result. Juan took his time to walk us through the entire process (it was our first time undertaking such a project). He not only made suggestions about paint color, but also provided advice on what he thought would look good and what should be painted. The kitchen lighting was a major task, and we had specific ideas how it should be done.  Eight four-foot fluorescent fixtures would be replaced with a 7' x 8' stained oak assembly recessed into the ceiling to house four 2' x 2' LED panels.  This was a unique approach using new technology and well outside traditional kitchen construction practices, but PHD took on the challenge and built a custom assembly that achieved the intended result (see photo). 

During remodeling, we expanded the scope of work more than once (at our request, not PHD's) with additional outlets, a new exterior door, a vent hood and other minor items.  All additions were accommodated into the ongoing work flow at reasonable or no cost.

The flooring work required removal of over 400 sq. ft. of vinyl flooring and its replacement with ceramic tile.  PHD was careful to check the slab for any cracking which would have led to problems down the road.

All work areas were isolated with dropcloths and plastic "tenting" as needed to minimize the propagation of sawdust, sheetrock dust, paint overspray and vinyl tile chips throughout the house.

The granite countertops were done with only one seam in the entire kitchen.  This seam was placed inconspicuously and fitted perfectly such that it is nearly invisible.  The slate-topped bar was done to our specifications, with individual tiles cut to size and beveled on-site to provide a unique look.

A significant effort was removal and replacement of some massive teak furniture in the den.  PHD carefully wrapped each piece in corrugated paper for protection and wrapped door openings as well for added insurance against dings and scratches.  All pieces were moved out a patio door and around the house to the garage for storage and returned when the remodeling was done.  This careful handling assured that nothing was damaged in the process.

The finished kitchen and den met or exceeded expectations in all respects.  All workmanship was professional and reflected a careful attention to detail.  Despite a large number of subcontractors moving through the house, all areas were kept clean and left spotless at completion.  See attached photo.  There were no cost surprises or significant delays in this fairly-complex remodeling task.

We are currently planning further remodeling work, and will definitely use PHD for these projects.
