"Taylor came out the same day my AC stopped working. In this heat the thought of going all day was not pleasant. He was polite, vey professional, knew his business, and did above and beyond what we needed at the time. (Replaced our filter and gave us ideas how to eliminate the moisture in the attic). Even though we have a full inspection of our unit in September he checked all the pipes, pressures, and made sure when he left we would remain comfortable in our house. He was great, hope he comes back."

"The technician was a rather young man, however, as he explained his work to me also outlining the costs involved it was evident to me that he was well educated in electrical circuits. His experience was also evident in how fast and neatly he completed his work. I would recommend this company to my friends."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Modern AC leak sealants work as a temporary measure to stop refrigerant leaks. You can purchase them at most home improvement stores or on online. When using an AC leak sealant, keep in mind that it’s only a temporary solution, so you’ll still need to hire a pro to install a replacement part as soon as possible.

The $5,000 rule for HVAC systems helps homeowners decide whether to repair or replace an AC or furnace. Take the quote for the HVAC repair cost and multiply that by the age of the HVAC system. If the total is higher than $5,000, it’s more cost-effective to replace the system. If the total is lower than $5,000, consider repairing the system.

Not if you have a standard unit. Because portable AC units actually work to dehumidify the room, you’ll likely need to drain the unit from time to time—but you won’t have to put water into it. There is, however, another type of air conditioner called a swamp cooler that requires water to operate. If you have a swamp cooler, you may need to fill a reservoir with water and potentially ice. But a swamp cooler is different from a standard portable AC unit.

Yes, it’s normal for an AC to drip water. In fact, it’s part of the dehumidifying process that takes place inside your AC unit as the condensation trickles down into the drain pan. However, it isn’t normal for your AC to sound like it’s running water or have large puddles around it. If that happens, you can try the solutions listed above or call an AC repair pro.

Yesh, heat pumps can easily cool homes when the weather reaches over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, just as powerful air conditioners can. The key is sizing the heat pump correctly for the size of your home and your climate. A local heat  pump professional can help you determine the right size and type for your home.
