"Right before my warranty expired the bathtub I had refinished started peeling on the area in front of the tub. When I called to get it fixed the office that did the original job was redistricted and would not service me so there was some back and forth with the new location in my service area taking responsibility for the repair. They finally agreed to do the repair but never completed it. The area they fixed was patched but never repainted to match the rest of the tub so it now looks white in some area's but a dingy gray on the patched area and now my warranty has expired."

You should insulate ducts in a crawl space if you live in a colder climate or you run your air conditioning for most of the year. Radiant barriers can enhance the performance of insulation by preventing heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter. The choice between them depends on specific climate conditions and the building’s design requirements.

Each insulation type has its own R-value, so you’ll want to weigh the pros and cons of your materials when deciding which one will give you the best value. Energy.gov recommends you choose a pipe wrap that’s at least one inch thick. The International Code Council (ICC) suggests choosing a pipe material with an R-value of at least 3.

It is possible to insulate your walls without removing drywall, but it’s not a good idea to attempt the work yourself.
