I found a plumber who was available on an urgent notice. This was pre 4th of July but he came out to look at the job to see what was going on. He never mentioned the price of the job on the phone. When he diagnosed the problem, he said it was $250. I told him that was really pricey for just replacing a Moen valve in the faucet. He said the price is actually $280 but he was giving me a cut and that he's never gone down that low in price. I signed his contract after the job was complete and he left.
