Action Air is your one call for Honest, Prompt and Professional service for your air conditioning, heating, plumbing and septic system needs. Whether it's for your home or business your comfort is our business since 1985.

"The first unit never worked right, but every time we called, they responded. We went a whole west Texas summer with unreliable air conditioning. Action Air replaced the outside unit in September. When March of 2018, we needed cooling again and turned on the new unit. It worked once, but never again. We called Action Air and though our unit was no longer under warranty as it had been considered a "fix" for the first bad unit, Action Air got with Daikin and Daikin picked up the cost of a THIRD unit. Action Air installed it, replaced the register inside and we've been cool ever since. So, it spite of a really, REALLY bad start, Action Air finally made it right."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

No, fixing or patching a hole in a gas line may not seal it completely. A patch should be a temporary solution because the damaged area will be weaker than the rest of the pipe, increasing the likelihood of future leaks. Therefore, if a gas line incurs damage, call a licensed plumber and have it replaced right away.

Yes, it’s possible to convert an oil furnace to gas. However, you may have to replace the furnace completely instead of simply converting it. If the original oil furnace has had any type of damage or is older (typically considered over 15 years old), then you will likely need a full replacement versus a conversion.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.

Almost all new buildings in California need an earthquake shut-off valve. The requirements for an earthquake gas shut-off valve (and who can install it) depend on where you live. For example, according to the Los Angeles Municipal Code, you’re required to hire a licensed contractor to install one whenever you build, sell, or renovate a home. Check with your local building department for your city’s laws on installing, permitting, and inspecting earthquake shut-off valves.
