Recently relocated to Grayson County. We've been serving Texas and other states for 13 years in building ground up commercial buildings, additions, and renovations. We specialize in structural steel fabrication and erection, custom steel fabrication, gates and entryways. We were designing and building Barndominiums before people knew what they were. We do the job right or not at all. We guarantee our work, and we often takeover failing or abandoned projects and get the project completed. We've done a lot of historical renovations and dealt woth the historical regulations, etc. We've done a lot of work at The Grandscape in The Colony Tx. "Stone masters provided great service from beginning to end.  They arrived when they said they would be there. They involved us with the various stages in order to get our approvals, they tore out our old bathroom including a half wall that separated the toilet and the tub from the two sinks.  This opened the bathroom up tremendously.  They tore out the old tile, removed the toilet, and countertop.  They were neat and tidy the whole way through, careful not to stir up dust and debris to other rooms.
Derek was very communicative and responsive when we had questions.  Walter was a very professional foreman on the job and pleasant to work with.  Stonemasters installed new granite countertops, sinks, new toilet, new tub, new tile on surround as well as on the floor, new paint, baseboards, and installed new fixtures, lighting, the whole thing.
It took about close to two weeks for completion.  They thought of all the details and we would use this company again for future remodeling jobs.
It's hard to find reliable, professional remodeling companies that take as much pride in their work than Derek and his team.  Being in the customer service industry, this goes a long way with me when choosing who to work with.  We are very happy of the results and proud of our new bathroom."

"Installed Lowe's cabinets: 5 wall cabinets, 3 base cabinets and 2 tall pantry cabinets. Redesigned existing soffit to make smaller and to flush with the front of the wall cabinets. Made existing kitchen opening 3 times bigger. Installed marble back splash, porcelain tile under base cabinets, appliances, rewire electrical for recessed lights and wall plugs. Smooth ceiling and wall finish. Redid sink plumbing. Each morning Alex would prep work area by covering floor and each afternoon clean work area. Very respectful and easy to work with."

"Ken is a very nice man. He arrived on time and took care of cleaning my carpets quickly. I periodically interrupted him to ask questions or to guide him on tough areas and he never demonstrated irritation. Ken went beyond expectations by instructing me on regular carpet care, i.e. how to vacuum my carpet to get the best results in-between cleanings. I learned a few new tricks thanks to him. Also, Ken saw areas in the house that I might want additional assistance. Without being pushy Ken had a camera in his truck and showed me before-and-after pictures on stone/tile enhancers. We also talked about my challenges in cleaning the black granite counter-tops and he sent me an email the very next day with link to a product that he has found helpful. Overall, Ken was courteous, helpful, and conscientious about his work."

Stone Countertops questions, answered by experts

Marble countertops cost $3,000 on average, ranging from about $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the type of marble, square footage, location, and whether you use tiles or slabs. Another major cost factor to consider is the grading of the marble, which determines its quality level.

Use this grading system when selecting marble for countertops:

  • Grade A: Nearly perfect with subtle veining

  • Grade B: Minor flaws such as pits, fissures, or blotches

  • Grade C: Minor and major flaws like chipping and cracks requiring repair

  • Grade D: Significant damage needing repair, with dark veining and pronounced colors

Marble is very porous, so it stains more than non-porous quartz. Exercise caution when drinking wine and juice or cooking with oil near the marble fixture.

In most cases, a professional countertop installer will take between three and six hours to install your granite countertops. However, it may take two and four weeks to order and receive the materials to install, including time for measurements, checking that your cabinets can support the added weight, and delivery. If you choose a high-end slab of granite from a particular excavation site, you could wait for several months for delivery.

Cutting stone comes with a number of safety hazards. First and foremost, if you’re not comfortable with the equipment required to cut stone, including blades and grinders, you could easily injure yourself. The heavy machinery also poses a risk to your ears if you don’t wear proper ear protection; similarly, you need to wear eye protection to keep debris from irritating your eyes.

However, the biggest risk from cutting stone comes from the stone dust. When breathed in, stone dust can be a huge hazard to your lungs. Always wear a face mask when cutting stone to prevent inhaling stone dust, and thoroughly clean the work area when you are finished.

To avoid injury, we recommend hiring a stone-cutting professional, rather than attempting this job yourself.

Using water when cutting stone drastically reduces the amount of dust that comes off the stone. It’s beneficial to cut down on the amount of dust for respiratory and other safety reasons, such as keeping your vision clear while using an electric tool. Even with protective eyewear, the dust can still cloud your safety glasses. You should always wear protective gear when cutting stone.
