"Since Hurricane Harvey, we have worked with several contractors. None of them were as professional or high quality as New Image Remodeling. Johnny Flores has a great company and a solid team working for him. New Image Remodeling came in, gave me a bid, and together we set a timetable for the repair work. They arrived early every day and were finished by the time we arrived home. (Most other contractors showed up between 10am-2pm and worked throughout our dinners. It was hard sharing home life with them.) When they ran into a plumbing issue, he explained the issue fully and gave a good price for the extra work that was needed. There work was impeccable, and they always cleaned up after themselves. There were no major delays during the work schedule. They said it would take 2-3 weeks, and it took exactly that. Most other contractors needed at least twice their quoted time. They re-tiled the bathroom shower, repainted the bathroom, and replaced the baseboard. They also replaced the bathroom fan. I honestly kept waiting for the other shoe to fall, but it never did. Day in and day out, they exceeded our expectations. I would be happy to work with New Image Remodeling again, and I would recommend them to anyone. They reconstructed our bathroom shower. It looks beautiful now!"

It took me 3 months to decide which GC to retain for my restoration project because I got too careful about selection, but my decision turned out to be correct. Furthermore, Ellie’s customer service is something that I never had with other contractors. She was so responsive and patient listening to us for any concerns, I could feel at ease throughout the project. Now I am asking them to estimate repair/remodeling of my stairway because I couldn’t think of any better ones. "Rating in “Stars” is hardly appreciative enough. Hickory “knocked it out of the park” regarding service and quality. All owing to the owner, Matt Salam and his professional work ethics. He deserves a “Moon” rating!! I was in Commercial Real Estate 43 years, so I know from where I speak. One of the keys to success is having a specialist in each field required for the job. This is what Matt does. I had a tub to shower conversion. That endeavor received four (4) specialists, plus the Owner of Hickory, Matt; who is not a salesman, but an architect and designer, which turns out to be extremely helpful. Everyday I was continually amazed at Matt. I am 76 and in all my professional career, I have worked with many contractors. Never had one show up “every day”, until Hickory ‘s owner, Matt Salam. Matt on many days was here all day to “watch” and be sure of “perfection.” Anybody will most definitely benefit from his attitude of “ must be right”. While their bid wasn’t the lowest we received, it felt fair and, in hindsight, definitely worth it. The project manager was an excellent communicator—knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and never pressured us to accept the offer. We’re extremely pleased with the quality of work on the first bathroom and are confident the second will turn out just as well. A tip for future clients: make sure you have all the necessary materials on hand. We did, and the team completed the bathroom ahead of schedule.
