"Joseluis did a superb job repairing the kitchen sink that had separated from the granite countertop. Very professional and repaired it in a short amount of time. I highly recommend him. I’m on"

"I got next day service and they were done in no time! We had bought a house that had been remodeled with granite counters in the kitchen. I needed a hole cut so that my Reverse Osmosis water filter system could be installed. Tony looked underneath the sink, explained why the hole needed to be drilled in one location versus another, and cut it out with no problems at all! Quick, efficient and very professional!"

"The job went great! They were hired to clean & seal kitchen granite through a discount offer of $79.99 I had purchased. I was very happy with the result and asked for a quote for all my bathroom granite. They honored the same price! Very nice people to work with."

"From the beginning, Alejandro (manager) was very helpful and professional. He came by, promptly and on time, to provide an estimate and we got that within the day. We had gotten estimates from others, and given the good ratings on Angie's list and the reasonableness of the estimate, we decided to go with Alamo Stone Art. We visited his business to pick out the granite. The installation was delayed due to our having to do some repairs of the cabinets. The installation was a bit problematic since our cabinets are old and were not completely level. There was also an initial issues with the cutout for the sink not fitting. Thus, we had to have installers out a few times to make corrections. Throughout the process Alejandro was very helpful and assured us that all the issues would be addressed - which they were. It was very nice to have confidence that the job would be done in a professional manner, regardless of issues encountered during the process. I would definitely recommend this business highly if you are thinking of getting new countertops (granite, quartz, etc.)."

"I had to take a moment to comment on Mario's professionalism.  I called to inquire if he did marble polishing.  He does not, but said he could recommend someone.  I've been looking for a service provider for several months.  Mario stopped his car, checked his phone, and then gave me the name and phone number of the polisher.  Talk about impressive.  I'll definitely call Mario in the future for any of my granite and marble needs.

"We visited the showroom and then scheduled an in-home appointment for a quote. The salesperson (owner ?) was over 2 hours late to the appointment, and when she arrived I felt it was a rather pushy sales pitch that tried to rely upon scaring us about argon gas from natural granite (which has been dispelled many times over). When her price was 2.5x that over a natural granite quote, the hard push continued that relied upon bad-mouthing competitors rather than selling us on their own product, which I'm definitely not a fan of.
Would not recommend.

"A star bath and kitchen, refinish my large cultured marble tub. The tub needed a lot of work! There were cracks and chips and unfortunately patches that need to be refinished. A star bath and kitchen did an outstanding job! I am a very picky person and they were very professional"

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible to buff and polish your floors yourself, particularly for smaller areas. However, this is considered an intermediate-level DIY project that is time-consuming and requires patience and know-how. The process involves cleaning the floors before applying a polish, which can be done manually with a cloth or with a rented or purchased floor buffer and buffing solution. If not done correctly, you risk leaving burn-like marks, puddles, or an uneven finish, which could lead to costly repairs. For larger spaces or to ensure a professional result, hiring a professional is often worthwhile. They use industrial equipment to complete the job faster, providing a deep clean and a more even, polished finish without damaging your floors.

Unfortunately, the product Bar Keepers Friend won’t remove etching from stone countertops. In fact, it can make it worse. Bar Keepers Friend contains oxalic acid, which can cause further damage to natural stones like marble or limestone.

Stone restoration and polishing enhance the beauty and longevity of stone surfaces by repairing damage and restoring their original shine and functionality.

The cost to polish floors averages around $200 per room, but you could pay anywhere from $100 to $300. Some factors that influence the total cost of floor polishing include the following:

  • Square footage of flooring

  • Type of floor

  • Whether you need floor repairs done beforehand

  • Whether or not you want professional floor cleaning done beforehand

Since square footage is the most significant cost factor, you might get a more accurate estimate by using the average cost per square foot for floor polishing, which is between $1.00 and $2.50.

Buffing will only remove scratches at the surface level of your flooring. You may also need to apply hardwood floor wax to restore the wax layer. To remove deeper scratches, you’ll need another floor repair method like sanding; however, if you sand the floor, you’ll also need to stain and seal it.
