"Memorial Day storm broke a tree that crushed my 20x30 carport. I called Jerry and explained what had happened and he worked me in for a visit/estimate the next day. He gave me a service date and his crew showed up on time. Blake and his crew were great. Very professional, really nice and answered all my questions. Worked non-stop. Wish I could give 10+++++ stars. An excellent company, owner and employees."

Recently relocated to Grayson County. We've been serving Texas and other states for 13 years in building ground up commercial buildings, additions, and renovations. We specialize in structural steel fabrication and erection, custom steel fabrication, gates and entryways. We were designing and building Barndominiums before people knew what they were. We do the job right or not at all. We guarantee our work, and we often takeover failing or abandoned projects and get the project completed. We've built and have tore down and rebuilt many very large churches. We've done a lot of historical renovations and dealt woth the historical regulations, etc. We've done a lot of work at The Grandscape in The Colony Tx. We worked on The Dallas Morning News, The Statler Hotel as well as many other hotels, high end retail and entertainment districts. \n We have worked and a General contractor holding responsibility for a project from conception to planning and development, through completion.

"Dan Swadlly of Legit Roofing is one of the best people you could hire to make your house look better than it was before. A tornado hit my house on March 2nd. Dan was the first person that I called and he showed up and gave me an estimate. Other companies gave me estimates that my insurance did not come close to covering. The quality of work that has been completed is impeccable. Dan is a perfectionist and he backs up his work. The name of his company is true - Legit! He is an honest man. My mother is hiring him for work on her house and barn. I will be contacting Dan in the future for other projects. I have been so impressed."

"Nice and professional addressed the issue and kept my wife in the loop on the price. Ended up having to do more than originally quoted but when they were done it worked. Had a minor hiccup when It stopped up almost immediately after they left but they returned and got it flowing again. I will use them again and highly recommend them."

Awnings questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can convert a fabric awning to a metal one. You just need to swap the fabric for metal panels, which are more durable and weather-resistant. However, the support frame will probably need reinforcement to handle the added weight. You should consult a pro to address any structural concerns.

It’s best to keep your awning retracted if winds are 25 miles per hour or more to make sure your awning doesn’t sustain irreparable damage due to wind. Some awnings can take winds up to 30 miles per hour without any damage, but it’s best to consult the manufacturer’s guidance. A good rule of thumb is if it’s too windy for you to comfortably stand outside, it’s time to bring the awning in.

Yes, most awnings include warranties for materials and installation. Confirm terms before purchasing.

It’s not a good idea to allow heavy rain to fall on your awning, as puddling can occur and overload the awning. Your awning should be able to handle a light rain, though you should allow it to dry out before retracting it or open it to dry as soon as the rain stops. As always, consult manufacturer guidelines for using and caring for your awning.

Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.

Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.
