"We were looking to do some fence clearing and access road dozing and pond shaping. Jake came out, looked at the areas and gave us a quote was very fair. He gave us an estimated start date and was able to get going on our project a little early. Did a fantastic job, gave us great ideas and was very easy to communicate with. 100% satisfied with the work he did and will use him again for some other road projects in the near future at our property. Honest and trustworthy and does what he says he will do, Highly recommend Crawford Excavation for your property."

"Robby did an awesome job for me and even did a couple of small projects without charging me any extra fees! He put in a culvert and driveway, moved my gate, and rebuilt my fence. He is a very nice man, very professional, communicated well with me about the job and he even went the extra mile by calling TXDOT out to my property when their requirements were not possible to meet to show them and he got them to adjust the requirements so that the job would be approved by TXDOT. I would highly recommend Top Notch Excavating!"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

There are many factors to consider when building an in-ground concrete pool. This includes the pool’s primary purpose (relaxation or exercise) if you live in a warm or cold climate (how often it’ll be used), and if you have the budget for chemical treatments and pool maintenance. In-ground pools are often more costly than aboveground pools, but they’re considered more luxurious and hold more value.

Environmental considerations include native plant selection, wildlife habitation, erosion prevention measures, and managing water runoff patterns to protect the lakefront ecosystem.

When planting, it's best to leave several feet between a house and a juniper bush. Many juniper varieties will become quite bushy and require space to grow. Juniper branches that come into contact with siding can damage the home's exterior over time. Also, some juniper bushes have aggressive roots that can put pressure on a home's foundation or basement walls.

As with anything you do near your foundation, you’ll want to ensure proper drainage when you plant your foundation beds. Your drainage should run downhill from the highest point against your foundation to avoid water intrusion and incurring expensive foundation repair costs.

Yes, it is possible to add too little mulch. Anything less than 1 inch will likely result in too little coverage around your plants, allowing weeds to grow through and minimizing the positive effects that a deeper bed of mulch would have, like maintaining proper soil moisture and insulating the ground.
