"I called Alarm Protection Group AFTER my office was burglarized. Now I feel SAFE. William is great to work with. He's neat and tidy, prompt, presentable - not a butt-crack type of guy, and he doesn't leave a mess in his wake. He's also knowledgeable about the equipment and only uses high-quality products."

"Walter and Glen at Protect Your Home Group with ADT are the best people to talk to in terms of security alarm. Being a locksmith myself I know how important it is to deal with the right people. I referred a lot of customers to them and so far they are happy with their service. I myself got one for my house. Thank you for a consistent service and great deal."

"We just bought a new home and needed the locks redone and a new deadbolt installed. They responded to my quote request super fast, they have a very snazzy text communication system, they were very communicative with scheduling changes and arrived promptly. When scheduling the job, they (I think gentleman's name was Gilbert) - even thought to ask questions like what style of knob we needed (ie, brushed nickel). They were efficient and had the entire job done in less than 1.5 hrs. Very reasonably priced. Would use again!"

First of all - they were on time, arrived with the right equipment and explained in great detail their complete restoration method and scheduled the door return and installation.  BTW, the owner is still very involved with the business and schedules everything personally.

They know their competition well and can explain why Restore Your Door is the best choice - believe me, we had researched them all.

They removed the door and installed a temporary door - nailed shut - it is ok for a few days.  Again, they were prompt and arrived exactly as scheduled, installed the door, hardware and departed.   Well done.

Not sure what your requirements are - but these guys were great - even our neighbors complimented on the door.  They did a great job.

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Typically, it can take around 15 minutes to rekey a lock. The time depends on the type of lock and how skilled you are at rekeying. The first time you rekey a lock, it may take a little longer. Once you get the hang of the process, it will move along much more quickly.

Begin by checking the power source, typically a battery or wired connection. Ensure the battery is installed correctly, has sufficient charge, and isn't corroded. If it's a wired lock, examine the electrical connections to confirm they are secure and free from damage. Additionally, inspect the lock's programming or settings. Confirm that user codes or access credentials are programmed correctly and that any remote control devices are paired and functional.

Commercial locksmith services range from $75 to $500, depending on the job's complexity, such as key duplication, lock installation, or access control system setup.

The easiest way to pick a lock is by using a titanium rake pick. This type of lock pick comes in a variety of shapes used to simulate different key configurations but generally has a tip with a bent design. Rake picks are the most beginner-friendly lockpicks and the simplest to learn how to use.

It depends on the quality of the keyless lock and usage, but in general, you can expect a keyless lock to last around three to five years. The batteries typically last around six to 12 months. The good news is most keyless locks include a low battery indicator so you can receive ample warning if your battery is about to die.
