"Everything went great! My handrails on my stairs are secure and you can't even tell where they tore a hole in the wall when the handrail came out. The pumphouse shed is in place and looks great. The trim on my outside windows looks great. Everybody was very nice and helpful. I will DEFINITELY use them again!"

"If you want someone who truly cares about your project, this is the right window and door company to choose. Michael, their owner and founder, has a hands on, creative approach to working with his clients. He has extensive knowledge and access to vendors/materials to select the best design and products for what you need based on your unique criteria. It was a pleasure working with Michael and his company. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend to friends."

"This was an older sliding door where parts could no longer be found. The guide wheels were worn out making it very difficult to open/close the door. The technician was a real craftsman. He set up his truck in close proximity and actually fabricated the pieces we needed for the door. The door glided easily and was perfect following the repair."

"Jose and InnovaSpace delivered an outstanding custom bookcase and entertainment center. I began with only a vague idea, yet Jose patiently guided me through a month of back‑and‑forth emails on materials, specifications, and structural details until the design was perfect. His craftsmanship is exceptional—clean lines, balanced proportions, and seamless integration of the entertainment center and accent‑lighting electrical work. Even after installation, Jose stayed committed to resolving every minor detail. Truly top‑tier work and service."

Doors questions, answered by experts

A screen door needs at least two hinges, though most have three or four hinges. The amount of hinges depends on the weight and size of the door. The heavier your door, the more hinges it will need for support. Exterior doors, which are sturdier than interior doors, have the most hinges.

Start by checking the top or side edge of the door. Look for a certification label or metal tag stamped with details like the fire rating and information on the manufacturer. Even if it’s painted over, the tag should still be visible. Next, look along the edges for slim intumescent strips. They’re designed to swell up and seal gaps when exposed to heat. Finally, check if the door closes itself. Most fire doors have a self-closing mechanism, like an overhead closer or spring hinges. If none of these are obvious, contact a fire safety professional to help verify your door.

A door sill is the horizontal part of the door frame at the bottom, while a door jamb consists of the vertical parts of the frame on either side. The door sill serves as a threshold, sealing the bottom of the door, while the door jamb provides structural support and houses the hinges and latch. Both are essential components of a door frame, with the door sill acting as a transition point and the door jamb providing stability and functionality.

Soft-close hinges are worth it if the benefits are a top priority. The biggest benefit of soft-close hinges is that they reduce stress on the cabinet frames, and extending the longevity of these pricey furnishings is a worthwhile investment. Plus, fixing noisy kitchen cabinets helps protect kids with careless fingers, reduces marks on the frames, and creates a quieter living space.

A fire door can cost anywhere from $400 to $1,350 to purchase and have installed. The cost comes from the price of the door, which can be anywhere from $400 to $900 or more, and the cost of labor, which should be contracted out considering that fire doors are a safety measure. Most contractors will take between two and four hours to install one door.
