This means that your belongings are loaded on the truck and not combined with anyone else’s items (from/to west coast only). This is by far the safest way to ship. Our interstate rates are per 24ft moving van that holds up to 8,500lbs or 1400CuFt. Some customers require one truck and some require more. One truck holds the average 1800SqFt.

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "You should probably add 4-6 weeks to the expected delivery date if you expect to need the "enclosed" hardware. I received the blinds in the estimated time, but it came without the required hardware. I have made 4 calls (at least) over several weeks, but the hardware is nowhere in site. It is clear that SelectBlinds.com is a marketing company only has outsourced all production and fulfillment to third parties and evidently has a difficult time coordinating these type of customer service issue. Extremely frustrating that my blinds have been sitting in the floor for over a month and all I need is a few screws. Happy to go to Home Depot to get the screws, but SelectBlinds can't even tell me what sizes I need."

"I have had over 45K of work or product from this company. I am writing this review as I tried to solve problem with the company with no luck. I went through BBB complaint and they took too long to resolve it and then told me that I was over the time frame. I had hardy siding, a 12x48 deck, 16 x 48 deck, 10 x 20 shed and they also installed my AC unit. The hardy install was subpar and had rework needed to be done at a later date. I had no issues with the AC install other than there was no asking where I wanted it, they just came and put it wherever they wanted it. I did have a housing inspector come out and inspect the front and back decks to document the deficiencies. The Back deck which is the 12x48 with covered roof I haven't had too many issues with even though the deck is not built to code. The back deck is also not level anymore due to the post not being concreted into the ground as per code. The majority of my issues have come from my front deck alone. This deck is 16 x 48 covered deck. There is no wood larger than 2 x 6 used. To start off with the deck sits approximately 5 ft off the ground at the furthest point from the house. There are approximately 40 4 x 4 post used on the front deck which are not sufficient but of the 40 only 6 are concreted in the ground. The deck spans 16 feet and they used a 2 x 6 x 16 beam to support the deck with a 4 x4 supported laterally not vertically at the 8-foot mark. If using on a 2 x 6 code calls for post more often so there are many 4 x 4 posts missing under the deck. All my post are on pavers. Some have come off the pavers. My deck has sunk over an inch on the North side. The joist span is not correct for using a 2 x 6. The joist are running 12 foot and shouldn't run that far. The only metal hardware that was used in the deck was the hardware to set the 6 outside 4 x 4 post in concrete. I would never use the business after finding out the amount of code violations in my deck and wouldn't recommend them."

While 72 degrees is a comfortable setting for many people, it’s likely not the most efficient temperature setting for your air conditioning unit. By pushing the temperature up to 75 or 78 degrees, you stand to save money on your energy bill. There are a few ways to reduce your electricity bills if you use window AC units to keep cool. Set the unit temperature at least 1 degree higher than it is currently to reduce costs. Keep the unit clean for it to run efficiently. You may want to hire a window AC specialist near you to inspect the unit once a year and keep it in tip-top shape.

The average life span of an HVAC system is 15 to 20 years. Even if your old air conditioner is still functional, it isn't as energy-efficient as a newer system (especially one with an Energy Star designation). Older HVAC systems aren't as efficient, and the 10-year mark is when you should start making full system replacement plans. Twenty years in, that plan should be well underway rather than waiting for the unit to die.

You should flush your AC drain line once every three months to keep it clear of debris and buildup. Keeping your AC drain line clean prevents clogs, backups, mold growth, and extra wear on your AC unit. If you live in a humid area or have several furry pets, up your cleaning schedule to once a month.

You should service your AC at least once per year, in the spring, and twice per year if your unit is 10 years or older. As your unit ages, more maintenance can catch problems early and help the system reach its full lifespan potential, usually 15 years.

Get on your HVAC technician’s schedule in early spring so your unit is ready to go for the season. If you’re doing two inspections per year, aim for one in the spring and one in the fall. You should also service your furnace once per year in the fall.
