"If you are interested in getting your house tinted, I suggest you speak to the people at quick tint . Justin from quick tint called me on the phone and asked me what I was looking for and I told him and he asked me what price range I was looking for and he gave me the best price that thereâ s out there. I tried three other companies and they were extremely expensive. Justin came by looked at what I needed and told me the exact price, that was good. He show me the different types of tints they had and he set up a date and they arrived on time with no issues it took three days to complete the job on my house, and the job came out excellent. Content and Justin are very highly recommended."

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

Replacing a window frame will improve your home’s energy efficiency if the old frame is cracked or damaged in a way that allows unconditioned air from the outside into your living space or if you upgrade to a more energy-efficient window frame material. Aluminum is the least energy-efficient window frame material, followed by vinyl and wood. Fiberglass and composite frames are the most energy-efficient.

While it is possible to install home window tint yourself, it is a challenging task that is often best left to professionals. The process can be tedious and time-consuming, requiring steady hands and a great deal of patience, especially for a first-time installer.

Common mistakes in DIY applications include visible bubbles, imperfections, and film that either hangs over the edges or doesn't fully cover the glass. These errors not only look unprofessional and detract from your home's curb appeal but can also reduce the tint's effectiveness in blocking sunlight and heat. If you have struggled with applying protective films to smaller items like phones or tablets, you may find this task particularly difficult.

Attempting the installation yourself and making a mistake can lead to wasted material and the additional cost of hiring a professional to fix the issues or redo the job. Although hiring a professional involves labor costs, it typically guarantees a high-quality, seamless appearance and saves you from having to do the work over again.

The ideal thickness of window film depends on various factors and specific needs. Thicker films generally offer increased durability and enhanced security benefits. They are also typically more effective at reducing heat and blocking UV rays. However, thinner options may be preferable for some applications, such as decorative or privacy films. Thinner films are easier to apply and provide adequate privacy without compromising visibility. Ultimately, the best thickness of window film will depend on your specific requirements, desired benefits, and the recommendations of professional installers.

Yes, you can remove window tint from house windows. You can either use heat to loosen the film before peeling or scrape it away with a blade. You’ll also use a solution to wipe away any adhesive that still clings to the window.

Use a combination of blackout methods to truly black out your windows. If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window. Reach out to a professional and request some custom-made shades for the best result.
