"Exemplary honesty and integrity. Chau was very prompt and responsive. After my initial contact with Angi, he was the first of four referred companies to respond. His quote was very reasonable, and we quickly scheduled the work same day. He showed up on time. When he started, he noticed that there was a surge protector already installed behind a cover inside the electric box. Rather than simply replacing it and charge me, he checked if it was still good and working, it was. Therefore, a new one wasn't necessary. He didn't even charge for the trip and testing; this is very rare indeed. I will definitely be hiring him for future work to install new breaker box and build/wire backyard deck."

"On Time Electric called me back within minutes of my quote request. The technician, Carlos came out the next day. The breaker box was replaced, and Carlos was good at offering solutions for the faulty outlets. Not only do they work now but we have an additional outlet with GFCI. I would highly recommend On Time Electric. Excellent prompt service."

Ev Charger Installer FAQs, answered by experts

Hire an electrician the same way you would an employee. Ask questions and look for a good fit. Streamline the process by using these questions to ask an electrician. It's also common to ask for a quote in writing. Don’t forget to provide all the project details to ensure there are no surprises or opportunities for added fees.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.

The cost of installing a 240-volt outlet for an electric car averages between $175 and $300. Depending on the type of outlet as well as labor costs, you might pay as little as $130 or upwards of $400. Hiring a professional electrician makes up the bulk of the expense but ensures a safe and code-compliant installation.

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.

You can use outdoor electrical outlets to conveniently power landscaping equipment such as electrical lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. From a recreational standpoint, outdoor outlets are handy for powering electric grills, mini-fridges, and stereos. They're also helpful when it's time to string Christmas lights on your home and around your property.
