"Very professional. Took as much time as needed to answer questions. Very good attention to detail. Even though a few more rods were needed than originally quoted, they stuck to their original quote price. No surprises. I would highly recommend this company."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

"Jim Benton of Country Boys Electric came out the day after my call for a bid.  He walked through our shell of a log cabin in the woods, was very thoughtful, made many great suggestions about where to put lights and plugs, described the work they would do and within a few days we has his written bid.  We liked and trusted Jim immediately and they started to work in a few days.  His workers were very professional, arrived on time, worked well with us.  They did all the wiring and then had to wait about a month for the sheetrock and painters to do their work.  We called them back and they were ready to install lights and fans and finish the job.  We were so please with their work.  They were very reliable and on time, even though they had to drive 40 miles from their shop to our place each day.We would highly recommend them to others.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Before starting electrical work in Alpine, secure all required permits and schedule inspections, allowing extra time due to the area’s rural setting. Notify the local utility if service disconnection is needed, and always call 811 before digging to avoid underground hazards. Plan projects around Alpine’s monsoon season, protect materials from dust, and source supplies locally to minimize delays from extended delivery times.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Alpine ensures more reliable HVAC and ceiling fan operation, crucial for handling extreme heat and winter cold snaps. Consistent power supports well pumps for steady water supply, safer outdoor lighting, and dependable performance for modern appliances. Dust-resistant and surge-protected systems reduce maintenance, making daily life in Alpine more comfortable, secure, and ready for remote work or entertaining guests.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Alpine offers immediate safety improvements, reducing fire risks in the dry climate and enhancing protection during storms. Upgrades like modern panels and surge protection boost reliability and energy efficiency, lowering utility bills. Over time, you’ll see increased property value, fewer maintenance issues, and better performance from well pumps and HVAC systems—essential for comfort and security in Alpine homes.

Helpful?

In Alpine, watch for warning signs like melted or cracked wire insulation, discolored or warm outlets, and persistent burning odors—these often signal heat or electrical overload. Flickering lights during windstorms, excessive dust buildup inside panels, and outdated or corroded breaker boxes are also red flags. Homes without GFCI outlets or proper grounding, especially in Alpine’s rocky soil, should be professionally evaluated for safety.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Alpine, keep a digital multimeter rated for high temperatures, a non-contact voltage tester, and insulated wire strippers in your toolkit. Stock up on UV-resistant wire nuts, weatherproof electrical tape, GFCI outlets, and surge protectors to guard against lightning. Dust-resistant panel covers, grounding rods, and a reliable flashlight are smart additions to handle Alpine’s dusty conditions and frequent power fluctuations.
