"Everything installed looked good, used panel sheets for shower walls. The only issues we had was the shower could have been wider from entry glass door to back wall but we were not given an option to make that request. Also the walls where the Jacuzzi was torn out were not repaired smoothly but was rough and had a ridge in the middle."

Small jobs welcome

"Clyde was right on time the first day. He and his helper demoed the bathroom in one day, which was great! Had a slight hiccup, the floor needed to be leveled at small extra cost. This didn't change finish date. Tub and walls started going up without any problems. We put 2X1 tiles on the floor and shower walls with a mosaic. New toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet, and light fixture were last to be installed. Once painted, towel bars went up. The job was finished on time with one extra cost (leveling the floor). Clyde was SO great! He is very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to the process. He was always on time and very professional. He was tidy, cleaned up every afternoon before leaving. I would recommend Clyde to anyone I know. Great work!!!"

"We replaced our bathtub with a walk in shower, and are extremely happy with the work that was provided. In only took one person 6 hours to complete the job, and he was very professional and the quality of work was great. Would hire them again."

"Outstanding job. Quick and efficient. Came to give me an estimate the next day and two days later, my walk-in shower was installed. I had to replace a tub/shower combination due to cracks on the flooring and leaking water and I chose to replace it with a walk in shower. It is really nice and I love it."

"Immanuel, priced and provided a custom shower as well as the porcelain tile floor we had originally asked him to quote. They did an excellent job on both and we are having them do a backsplash in the kitchen."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

A standard bathtub can be used for soaking, but they tend to be shallower (between 15 and 18 inches deep). A soaking tub is designed to be deep enough to totally submerge yourself in the water (about 20 and 24 inches deep). Additionally, most soaking tubs are freestanding, while regular bathtubs come in various styles with drop-in, surround, and wall-mounted options available.

While tubs are fairly sturdy, you may notice cracks or holes. This kind of damage can happen from someone accidentally dropping something heavy into the tub. You might also see damage if you drop something heavy into the tub over and over again (like your extra large bottle of body wash). While you might only notice a small dent at first, this can later turn into a crack or a hole.

Also, certain cleaners that are harmful to your tub can cause damage. And if you have a fiberglass tub, you might see cracks if it was not installed properly with the right support.

Of the two most common and affordable bathtub materials, acrylic is notably better. Though fiberglass is cheaper, it is also more prone to scratching, chipping, fading, and cracking. Acrylic holds up better to wear and tear, cleaning, and sun exposure; the slight cost increase is usually worth the increased longevity.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

What you include in your bathroom remodel will depend on your budget, personal preferences, and the current condition of your bathroom. Bathroom renovations often involve changing out the shower or tub, faucet, showerhead, tiles, flooring, mirrors, sink, cabinets, and vanities. You may also want to upgrade the wallcovering, adding new wallpaper or paint.
