"We have been using Progressive Painting for repairs and restoration on three houses in our family over time, as we have been so pleased with the quality of the work, the professionalism and reliability, and what’s best-the bang for our bucks! It is owner operated and Dennis Phillips and his wife Darlene take great pride in their work. We keep having them back! Our daughter’s family, my sister and I have had rooms repainted in a day. We had a new fence painted and our kitchen cabinets restored-it’s like a new set. We are retired Army and have moved a LOT and had a lot of workers in our homes over the years, and it is wonderful to find someone who inspires confidence, stands behind their work and are picky about the final product. We are also delighted not to go broke in the process of updating our home! We highly recommend Progressive Painting."

"I called recently to try to get on his schedule. Left 2 messages and have never received a call back.
For some reason, I had wanted to have this job done by Mow Nashville to see what kind of work they would provide.
I have invested the $99.00 and was willing to pay more to complete the job clearing the fence line and back flower bed.
Now, I am not sure if they want to do my job. I am getting the feeling that this is a job that is not what they would like to do, but it would be nice to get a phone call to confirm yes or no on my job.

"My house has not been painted for many years and needed it badly. Atila was recommended to me by my lovely, elderly neighbor, who has used Atila for 10 years, to paint both the exterior and interior of her home several times over, as she has changed her mind about colors. She is very particular, so I knew if she was happy with Atila for 10 years, he HAD to be good! And of course his reviews on Angie's List, his reasonable price, and his immedite response to my request for an estimate all contributed to my choosing him to do the work. Atila came to give me his estimate on a Thursday, began all the prep work on Friday. Worked Saturday, Monday and Tuesday and completed the job with all the little touchups and clean up on Wednesday morning. The crew were unfailingly polite, courteous and very good at their jobs. Their detail orientation was very good and if I pointed out some little thing, they immediately set about fixing it. Atila is very straightforward, honest and hard working, as is his crew. After the crew had primed all the brick on my house, I decided that I didn't like the color and the crew had to start all over again. Atila was not frustrated, or angry or miffed at all. He just immediately started working with me to decide on a different shade, went and bought several sample quarts, painted sample patches and helped me decide on the new color. And then they started the brick all over again - no fuss, no muss, no drama. Frankly, I never expected to get an estimate from a painter and then have him start the very next day, so I was not prepared with my color choices when they arrived - the color problem was complete my responsibility. Atila was kind enough to power wash my deck while he was doing the house and I plan on having him come back to repair some rotted wood and paint and seal the deck. I definiitely recommend Atila and will use his services again - the inside of my house needs work too! I work out of my house, so I was at home most of the time the crew was working. I enjoyed hosting them with ice waters every day and a pizza lunch as a treat, and learning a little about each of them. And Atila and I had many conversations about our home lands, our families, our backgrounds and other interesting topics. I feel as though I have made a friend. Atila, Francisco, Alfredo, Pedro and Antonio - thank you for all your wonderful and skillful work!

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.

Regular sealing and repainting help maintain the restored surface’s durability.

Costs depend on surface material, labor, debris disposal, and the type of blasting media used.

Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.

You can concrete can be done when it’s wet or dry. However, it’s safer when wet, as harmful dust and chemicals are present. Sanding it when dry is faster, but you’ll agitate more dust and chemicals, meaning you’ll need to be more careful.
