"We had some difficulty getting together due to weather. Once Jordan did get here, things progressed rapidly, the problem was identified and corrected. We had a very heavy storm a few days later and there were no leaks, much to our relief. Jordan and his helper were very cooperative and helpful in explaining the problem and what was done to correct it. We are very satisfied with the work and would call them again if we have any further problems."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on paint type, surface condition, labor, and required prep work for repainting.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.
