I have called multiple times and was repeatedly told that the sales manager would contact me, but no one has followed up. This lack of professionalism and failure to honor a lawful cancellation is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone."

Boring (also known as directional boring) is one alternative to trenching when installing underground utilities. The main difference between directional boring versus trenching is that boring doesn’t require digging or disturbing the surface. Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.

Concrete leveling is absolutely worth it if you have sunken concrete slabs and want to restore them to level, especially if the slab is part of your home foundation. Concrete leveling is less than half the price of replacing concrete sidewalks, patios, walkways, and pool decks, and it’s about a quarter of the cost of replacing a foundation. If you also treat the underlying problem, it can be a worthwhile and permanent solution.

It’s possible to rent the equipment necessary to do your own mudjacking, but we don’t recommend it. Mudjacking involves pumping a precise amount of cementitious slurry under your slab to lift it back into place and keep it there. It’s easy to pump too much or not enough, in which case you may need to call in a professional to help anyway. We strongly recommend against mudjacking any load-bearing slab, as you could easily cause irreversible structural damage to your property if you make a mistake. This is one job where paying for a professional is worthwhile.
