Griffin Waste is a roll off dumpster company specializing in smaller sized (10 yard) dumpsters.

"I have used Griffin Waste three times now. They offer one size dumpster, which seems smallish but is quite sufficient, at least for my needs. Their pricing is reasonable and everyone I have dealt with has been professional, courteous, and helpful. I have had no problems at all with their services and will use them again."

Barry’s background as a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Professional Engineer made visible the multitude of problems present in his home, and the homes around him.Given the enormous number and complexity of variables relating to building construction, it is no wonder that many suffer from issues such as mold, leaky building envelopes, elevated radon levels, poor storm water management, improper ventilation design, and many other issues. Our team is on call to fix these costly, dangerous, and damaging problems. Call Us TODAY! - (615) 373-2498

"I hired DocAir to remediate existing mold and install a vapor barrier & dehumidifier system in the crawlspace of a property I recently purchased. My first impression of DocAir was very positive. Thomas, the technician that was dispatched to my property provided a very clear analysis of my issues and plan for remediation, I was receiving regular updates and communication from the office manager— so I contracted DocAir to move forward with their proposal at the next available opening they had 6 weeks later. Unfortunately, that was one of the last parts of my experience with DocAir that was positive. In the weeks leading up to my installation I received zero communication about the specific start date & time, who my project manager was and how long the job would take to complete—finally prompting me to call their office to get this information after the start date originally quoted to me had passed. The mold guarantee I was sent had the wrong address listed, it took me following up with the office 4 times to finally have this corrected. Shawn and his team did a great job cleaning the mold and installing the vapor barrier but upon completion of this portion I was then made aware that the wiring and completion of the dehumidifier system was done by an entirely different department and someone else would have to come out at a later date to set this up. I received no information from the office as to when this would be scheduled. Several days passed, with still no word, when I finally reached out I was told “this will be completed tomorrow afternoon.” No one showed up and no one from the office reached out to me. When I called them they apologized and said they would come out the next day. No one showed up again and again I received no word from the office as to why. As it stands now, I have paid DocAir in full for a job they have yet to complete. The work they do may actually be good but, I would not recommend this company based on their unprofessional lack of respect for their customer’s time and failure to properly communicate. Very disappointing end to an experience that started out with a lot of promise."

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

When asbestos damages the lungs it causes a condition called “asbestosis” which, unfortunately, can’t be cured once it’s damaged the lungs. This condition is chronic and any treatment is undertaken to improve quality of life. This usually involves quitting smoking, being prescribed oxygen, and undergoing lung rehab. Severe cases usually require a lung transplant.

Asbestos-containing materials are not easily affected by water and do not disintegrate or dissolve when exposed to it. However, porous materials can deteriorate due to water exposure, leading to the release of asbestos fibers into the air. The settling of asbestos fibers can also occur as water makes them heavy, which reduces the risk of airborne exposure, though future disturbance of the materials could cause risk. Wetting asbestos-containing materials does not constitute safe removal, and the proper handling and disposal of asbestos materials should be left to professionals.

If you have an older electrical system with fraying wires and other signs of damage, removal  may be the best course of action. When asbestos begins to break down, it's more likely to become airborne, increasing the risk of health issues when it's inhaled.

However, if the system is in good condition and doesn't have visible signs of wear or damage, leaving it alone may be the safest course of action. An asbestos abatement and removal professional can help you determine the best way to proceed.

Asbestos siding on its own doesn’t present a health risk. Asbestos fibers only become airborne when you disturb the material. As long as the siding is in good condition, it shouldn’t release dangerous fibers into the air. If you’re ready to replace the siding anyway or if it’s in poor condition, hire a local asbestos removal contractor to remove, repair, or cover it safely.

In most cities, it isn’t legal to cover asbestos tile. This is because it’s difficult for the average homeowner to know if they’re causing fibers to become airborne. While there is a method of sealing the asbestos in place—called encapsulation—this needs to be done by a pro, and isn’t appropriate for all situations.
