"Bill and his team did a terrific job refinishing the solid oak floors in the kitchen, dining, den, living room and two bedrooms in our new Evergreen CO home, going from a classic ``honey'' hue to a more contemporary white-stained look. Job came in ahead of schedule and on-budget. Would recommend."

"Eddie was able to work when others were not. I was having old bathroom vanities removed and new vanities installed. In between these jobs, Eddie was able to get my old floor removed and the new tile installed, plus he hauled away the old flooring and an old toilet and installed a new toilet. All this happened with a minimum of down time for the bathroom. I was very pleased. The new floor looks great."

"The techs were very friendly, professional, experienced and knowledgeable. They explained everything step by step and answered all questions. I have never been so satisfied and happy with the work performed. They thoroughly cleaned up behind themselves and everything. I would highly recommend them to others for work that needed to be done. "Hats off to Dylan Jobe and LeQuan Williamson". Thanks for a job very well done on resurfacing my bathtub and tile."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

If you’re doing a full bathroom remodel, the flooring will go in before the vanity and any other bathroom cabinetry. This will ensure that the same floor is present across your whole bathroom should you ever tear out your vanity and start again.

If you can only budget for one or the other, you can still replace just the vanity in your bathroom. Just keep in mind that if you decide to replace your flooring later, you’ll need to tear out the vanity to avoid having mismatched floors.

Sheet vinyl is among the most affordable and durable flooring options, with prices as low as $0.50 per square foot and a lifespan of 10 to 20 years. Other inexpensive and durable choices include standard vinyl plank ($2 to $7 per square foot), which mimics wood or stone and is great for high-traffic areas. Laminate flooring ($1 to $6 per square foot), linoleum, carpeting, and concrete can also be cost-effective options, with prices starting around $2 per square foot.

You typically aren’t in any immediate danger if your floors are sagging, but that doesn’t mean you should leave them unattended. Sagging is likely a sign of underlying problems with the structure of your home, such as uneven subflooring or rotting joists. Have your floors inspected by a local carpenter as soon as possible to help you determine the type of repairs needed.

These are two different questions. The most budget-friendly flooring option for a bathroom is waterproof luxury vinyl, but installing vinyl flooring is a fairly extensive DIY project best left to homeowners with a lot of confidence and experience. When you hire your local flooring company to do the hard work for you, you can focus on simply figuring out which type of floor will work best for your needs and stylistic preferences.

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.
