After several years working in the electrical/HVAC field Crowell Electric was founded in early 2011 with the goal of being a full service, customer friendly Electrical/HVAC Mechanical contracting company. We currently have eight employees and cover a work area that spans the majority of TN and AL. We do not see any project as too small or large and treat all with the same level of preparation and professionalism. Dryer vent cleaning starts at $75.00 - depending on the situation. Air duct cleaning is priced by how many registers & returns you have- call for quote. Chimney cleaning depends on what you have & where you are located - starting at $155. We service all of West Tenn; Northeast Mississippi; & the Caruthersville, Mo area. Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

In most cases, yes, it’s safe to light a gas water heater manually, but you should shut the gas off first, open a window, and let the space air out for about 10 minutes. Modern water heaters shut the gas off entirely if the pilot light goes out, but airing out the area beforehand is good practice and will ensure it’s safe to relight your pilot light manually. Just make sure you turn the gas valve to “pilot” before lighting. If the light keeps going out or won’t light at all, call in a professional.

If you install a ventless gas fireplace, it will release low levels of combustion byproducts back into your living space (instead of pushing them outside through a chimney or vent). Ventless fireplaces burn fuel efficiently, so the emissions are minimal—but they could bother people with allergies or respiratory issues.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.
