I made the call Sat morning. He called back within an hr. Was at my house by noon that day (ok, I'm surprised). He tells me it's a one day job, that he could do it tomorrow, and would have a bid to me by 4 pm that day. Really? I had the bid of $750 by 3pm, he had attached several pics of...

The gentlemen came out as quickly as they could to repair a broken belt on our dryer. They had the work done within a half-hour, were very professional, and charged a fair price. I'm very impressed, and I would have no hesitation to call them again.

Olson Plumbing is our first call when plumbing is a problem and in this case a leaking shutoff valve plus a handle with a broken set scew needed addressed. We called in the afternoon and the next morning a plumber was here. He had no problem replacing the shutoff valve and, as long as he...

I like that they are very responsive. But do not like that they had to make 7 separate repair trips, in which they left a wire unplugged, and resulted in us not having heat during the winter. With our experience, we will not be using them again in the future.

Very pleased with the work that was done. He arrived timely (with an assistant) and got to work right away (he had been over previously to give a bid). The repaired section of fence is indistinguishable from the remainder of the fence - the work was so well done that you can't tell which...

After several months in the shop, I received a VERY terse, rude call from Mr. Nygren, saying my mower needed to "get out of his way." (Terse and rude are two of his more endearing traits, as he had acted that way on a previous visit to his store.) I went in when I could, FOR WARRANTY REPAIR...

"Midwestern Mechanical did an outstanding job. Trigg especially. He was professional, knowledgeable and honest. Where competitors pushed and used scare tactics on seniors to totally replace the whole heating and A/C unit instead of replacing a fan, housing motor.. competitor said they couldnt find the parts. That it could take 3 months to get Saying this during 90 degree weather. Midwestern Mechanical came in instantly found the problem, got the parts needed, and had it fixed . In four hours they had our A/C working like a charm. It cost us 900.00 compared to close to 10,000.00. Midwestern Mechanical has a loyal customer from here on in. I’ve been singing their praises ever since to all that will listen. It’s nice to know that There are still honest and hardworking people out there. Not trying to take advantage of seniors . FAQs for gas leak repair projects in Wall, SD
Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Fixing a gas leak costs about $45 to $150 per hour for a plumber or gas line specialist. The job’s overall cost will vary depending on the location of the leak. A leaky junction or connection behind the stove or dryer will likely cost about $120 to $170. But for a leak that requires a gas fitter or plumber to excavate a pipe in the yard, the cost could rise to $1,500 to $5,000. Keep in mind that gas leaks are very serious issues, so don’t hesitate to contact a plumber or gas line specialist immediately.
Fixing a gas leak can take anywhere from one to 24 hours, depending on the location and magnitude of the problem. A gas line specialist or gas plumber should be able to give you an estimated time to completion once they evaluate the situation. If your city’s utility company works to fix a gas leak, it will likely have information available about the anticipated time for gas service to be restored.
The cost of repairing a gas leak depends on the type of leak, its severity, and how difficult it is for the repair technician to reach it. Some of the most common gas line repair costs, on average, include:
Cap a gas line: $75–$150
Gas system inspection: $150
Pressure test: $75–$500
Damaged or corroded pipe: $6–$7 per linear foot
Repair gas leak: $120–$5,000
A local natural gas plumber, gas fitter, or gas line specialist should fix gas leaks. Installing gas lines and connections improperly can lead to dangerous gas leaks and explosions. Only a certified plumber or gas line specialist should run gas lines. This is not a job to try out DIY skills, so hire a professional gas plumber or gas line specialist immediately to find the cause of the leak and fix it quickly.
