"Tree Wise Men worked our project into their schedule because we had some time constraints on getting the job done. They arrived when they said they would. We had multiple trees that needed shaping/thinning. The work was done efficiently; they did what we wanted done while also advising what was best for the trees. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. We will definitely use them again in the future."

"Great work, great customer service. Excellent value. Jeb gave me a fair price, woked with my schedule and did amazing work. . If you need trees cut, want a professional job and friendly no hassle service? Call 413 Devices. Will recommend to anyone with trees or shrubs that need removed or trimmed. I called Four different tree companies over a year and a half time span. I dropped off all their schedules and they never returned my calls when I tried to get back on the schedules."

"The guys who did the work were very courteous. They made strong efforts to prevent limb damage to any structures and fences, cleaned up thoroughly after work completed and were very personable. They asked for an evaluation of worked performed (trimming limbs from a large tree that had not been trimmed for many years) and showed us which limbs might need future trimming if water damage occurred. They even made a strong effort to not disturb a squirrel nest in the tree which, in my opinion was great!!! I recommend these guys for anyone needing tree services! Money well spent"

"Casen did an amazing job removing the bushes in my front yard, laying a beautiful bed of mulch, and replanting the bushes I had purchased. He was professional, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations throughout the project. His work was completed quickly and exceeded my expectations. "We are very impressed by these tree professionals! We were looking for a tree service to trim and remove some broken branches threatening our roof. Not only were they very prompt in answering our request and giving us a reasonab!e estimate for the service, they were very efficient and conscience taking care of our property as well as our neighbor's property. Before leaving they made sure to clean all debris from our roof, our yard, the neighbor's yard, as well as the street in front of our house. Excellent customer service, and the job was completed in a timely manner. We highly recommend B & D Tree Service and will definitely call them again for any other tree issues."

"Statler kept us informed of when he would be able to come to do the work. Safety was always taking place throughout the project. He would check with us during the project to make sure the trees were being trimmed as asked and he also had helpful ideas to help the health of the trees in the future. Clean up was done and branches hauled away. Also, in our area he is the only person who called us back to offer to do the work! Appreciated and will ask for his help in the future and highly recommend his service!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In the case that a tree is growing directly on your property line, the cost of maintaining the tree is shared and is the property of both owners in common. In this case, all decisions regarding the maintenance of the tree must be made jointly, and both parties must agree on a course of action. You will need to agree with your neighbor about the cutting of any roots before you carry it out, and your neighbor must also consult with you before doing any trimming. Coming to an agreement with your neighbor about any shared trees ahead of necessary trimming and maintenance will make this process much simpler.

Most trees can be successfully transplanted while they are young, but pines, walnuts, and some oak tree varieties are more difficult to move because their root systems grow deeper than most other trees. Also, trees adapted to sandy soil with wide root systems like beeches, willows, and aspens are harder to dig out because their roots spread much farther out from the trunk. In these cases, unless the trees are very young and small, it’s a good idea to consult a tree planting professional.

There are four common ways to prune a tree correctly: crown thinning, crown reduction, crown raising, and crown cleaning. The method you choose depends on the purpose of pruning. However, making the correct cuts is a vital part of the process, regardless of your method. Pruning incorrectly can damage or even kill the tree. So, you may want to hire a professional tree-trimming company to tackle the task.

Trees that flower in the spring—like dogwood, cherry, magnolia, and pear—should not be pruned during the winter. These spring-flowering plants grow buds on old growth, so you’ll actually remove what would’ve been gorgeous flowering foliage. Instead, wait to prune until right after they bloom, when the flowers fade.

A tree can grow back from its stump, but full regrowth is unlikely (especially for more stubborn conifer trees). Instead, trees are more likely to send up a number of shoots from the dead stump, which will try to develop into primary stems over time. In other words, it will start to look increasingly bushy. The goal of killing and drying out a tree stump is to prevent that from happening, as well as make the stump easier to completely remove.
