"Project- Dig trench and install root barrier for tree roots that are invading my property from my neighbors tree. Also trimmed up the ash tree in the back. Excellent job on both, completed both projects in good time and did a great job was happy with the results. Will definitely call again."

"I honestly cannot say enough good things about ERE! We were having some drainage issues in our backyard, and were worried about the integrity of our foundation. Jon contacted me within a day of my search and set up a consultation a few days later. He was super knowledgeable and understood what I wanted done, even when I couldnâ t exactly describe it. Jon was very thorough and kept me updated on everything he was going to be doing, and gave me several options when it came to budgeting and services. He and his team even went above and beyond by repairing the sprinkler lines that the previous owner had damage, at no extra cost. Our backyard now looks 100x better than before and we no longer have to worry about water draining towards our house & foundation. I will absolutely recommend ERE to everyone I know & will likely use them in the future for any of our landscaping needs!"

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. When speaking with prospective pros in your area, ask the land surveyor if they are licensed in the state, have liability insurance, and can quote you a fee before starting.

Land surveying can help give clear guidance on your property boundaries for numerous situations. And in some cases, having your land surveyed is a requirement. Some common reasons to have your land surveyed include:

  • Planning for construction projects, like building a fence

  • Locating utilities, such as plumbing fixtures

  • Settling property line disputes

  • Creating subdivisions

  • Meeting mortgage requirements

  • Selling your property

A land survey can take anywhere from a few hours to a month or more, depending on the size of the property, the type of survey, the property’s accessibility and topography, and the availability of historical property records. A simple boundary survey to determine a fence line can be completed in a day while surveying 50 acres of undeveloped woodlands may take weeks or longer.

A boundary survey measures the boundary lines of the property, only the length of each property line and their locations. A land survey includes a more in-depth measurement of the property, including the heights and depths of the terrain measured by a topographic survey. A boundary survey is typically the most cost-effective method for marking and measuring property lines.

Property lines, building locations, and potential encroachments are mapped.
